2003 lost at home to a Ron Zook coached Florida team lead by a true freshman QB who beat them by throwing over the middle time after time.

2011 8 out of 10.

JJ couldn't throw and throwing completions over the middle was climbing Mt. Everest to Lee.

2003 8-9 out of 10

7-3 '03. Tyrann sets up some easy scores, else 2011 can't get on the board.

seriously, you put CWeb on Randle, let Hunt roam deep, and it's 8 man fronts all game from '03. 03's front 7 + Laron would look like the BCS NC.

frick I didn't even think about Alex Hurst going Alex Hurst.

Probably 10-0 '03 team in that case.

I don't see 2003 LSU moving the ball on '11 LSU.

I don't see either offense doing anything at all.
2011 special teams better.
2003 defense a little more violent.
2003 offense better.
But then I look at the season results and 2003 lost to mediocre Florida and struggled against Ole Miss, OK, UGA whereas only one team in the county stayed close with 2011.

So I don't know.

Only on paper. 2006 never dominated like it should have. Most underachieving roster since 1998.

2011 wins the majority of them. That team was just out of this world. It's a shame media bias kept them from being recognized as the best team in CFB history as they should have been.

Tough call. I'd go with 2011 winning most of them. 03 offense did not perform well against good defenses, mostly padded stats against weaker defenses. 2011 had a better rushing game, 2003 had a better passing game.

Those teams were pretty damn good that year with the exception of Fla. Who was still decent

JJ & JL would struggle mightily against that 2003 defense, which was also nearly impossible to run on. 2003 LSU is similar in many ways to 2011 Bama. 2011 would definitely win a few though. I'll say 6-4 in favor of 2003.

10-0 2003. No way the'03 D is less talented in stopping a run-only offense than the '11 Bama D.

IMO, Ole Miss was the best team LSU played that year.

2003 wins the series comfortably, they had a comparable defense (especially when you factor in the strength of the SEC), a much better and balanced offense, and played a much better SEC.

Maybe, but it was not proven on the field bc most offenses Bama player were not good. I give credit to Bama for shutting down Ark but otherwise Bama never played a dynamic offense like LSU did. I wanted to see 270lb LBs spread out against Oregon for example.
