re: Breaking: N.K. military considers striking around Guam with 4 Hwasong-12 missiles - klrstix on 8/10/17 at 8:20 am
Or they could be pulling a cold war tactic and want to bleed us dry via an engagement with NK that China would have legitimate rights to set some sort of ground rules for.
It could be something as pedestrian as gaining insight into the current administration... Anyway, any o...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Breaking: N.K. military considers striking around Guam with 4 Hwasong-12 missiles - klrstix on 8/9/17 at 8:43 pm
I'm starting to suspect China is behind this.
I have entertained this idea... not sure what the purpose would be and how it might fit into their longterm strategic goals. Is it possible they are simply using NK to somehow set themselves up as power brokers in this region. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Moonbot Studios - klrstix on 8/9/17 at 4:03 pm
Millenium studios used to have a center in Shreveport. My daughter actually did some ROTO work for them on one of the Expendable movies and a couple of other movie projects. I have no idea if its still in Shreveport....

re: Most disappointing seasons in your lifetime. - klrstix on 8/9/17 at 3:59 pm
The following week we give Bama one of their worst upsets in program history(they were on like a 30 game win streak and defending national champs).
I remember watching that game on TV and thinking "Have I entered an alternate reality Universe???".. Seriously, if we...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Holy shit, this guys posts are getting worse. It didn't seem possible, either.
Clearly you underestimate the power of fanatical idiocy!! By way of example, I remind my co-workers constantly that there is no such thing as idiot-proof. The creativity of idiots are directly re...
...into a WR? Despite the fact that he has a barely serviceable QB?
Sure because there is such a strong correlation between these two... :rotflmao: Oh wait... Maybe its because he is trying to get his best athletes on the field... you know, like most good coach...

re: Calexit - Dreams can come true - klrstix on 7/27/17 at 11:11 am
This affects LONG TERM economic policy as well as social and cultural direction. The significance of this is self evident.
Not sure it is as self evident as you might think. I think the negative economic impact for the USA would be short term ( 5 to 7 years...) There is a ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Here's a breakdown of the $3.9T US Federal Budget - klrstix on 7/27/17 at 8:28 am
that's b/c there is a mythology that SS/Medicare aren't welfare programs and they rely on the discretionary charts
I would argue that given that fact that specific taxes are levied on myself and my business to go towards these two specific programs, it isn't a welfare program. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
People and money? They have military bases already and plenty of people with important military knowledge would stay.
Not so sure about that... And do not forget the all the military assets, (tanks boats bullets ect...) do not belong to California. Also, while California m...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: I'm usually excited to see how our offense does, but.. - klrstix on 7/26/17 at 2:18 pm
As many of the responses have already indicated, there are several levels to this years defense... 1) Lost a good deal of veteran talent. Not so easy to replace. 2) We have young talent but untested as heavy lifters in an SEC schedule. 3) Aranda's 2nd year as DC. Better overall understand...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: How “Confident” are Intelligence Agencies that Russia Interfered with the Election? - klrstix on 7/25/17 at 11:46 am
I haven't researched this thoroughly but I believe the term "Interfered" is misleading... Technically the more accurate term is either "Attempted to interfere" or may simply "clandestinely monitored" election results. The point is there has been no proof that any election results were tampered...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Is it possible that your hands/arms were getting a little tired at the end of the session (causing "limp-wristing") ? This is a fairly common cause of "casings to the head."
Repeating this for emphasis......

re: When did the fanbase decide they wanted Coach O? - klrstix on 7/25/17 at 11:32 am
I love Coach O and I am not a fan of Alleva, but our fan base once again handcuffed him. He was almost forced to hire coach O because our fans pretty openly campaigned to have him hired permanently. Just like they did after the A&M game two years ago that handcuffed him to keeping Les aroun...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: How different would WW2 have turned out if Germany didn't delay for 3 days at Dunkirk? - klrstix on 7/22/17 at 8:59 am
the destruction of 2 cities with nukes was really not that big of a deal
This is the part I disagree with... I think the psychological effect of a single bomb doing that much destruction is mostly what brought them to the table. However, I do agree with you Russia entering i...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Think of it this way...
Very plausible... However, to me its not about how much resources they throw at Russia. As I recall they already had 80% of their War resources invested in Russia. The three things I think that make the difference is this... Rommel... What differenc...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
I think one of the biggest myths is that nukes somehow won world war 2
I do agree with you to a degree however I do not think you can argue the the nukes we used brought the pacific campaign to a close sooner, with less loss of life (as opposed to a convention invasion of Japan)...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
