Mauck wasn't great but still better than JL/JJ. So 2003 edge on offense.

Defenses were both great but in different ways. 2003 was violent and stout. But probably not as fast and might not have matched up as well with Oregon or WVU.

2011 blew everyone out every week but one, and against a tough schedule. Don't think 2003 goes through that schedule as easily.

I just can't see 2011 scoring any offensive points at all. And yet 2003 struggle at times in a way 2011 never did.

I guess I call on 2003 side due to defense and QB.

They really were. I loved that 03 D. My favorite of all time. But damn Honey Badger just gave 2011 something extra. Add in his return ability and Wing on ST and that adds up to a pretty big advantage for 2011 to me.

Give me 2011 running game over 2003 all day.

Mauck >>> Lee/JJ, but like I said he did have the ability to shite the bed.

Clayton/Devery/Green >>>>>>>>> Randle/OBJ

2011 Miles >>> 2003 Saban

Stats may prove me wrong and maybe its bc I'm such an LSU fan but that 2003 defense was the most violent and impressive college defense I've ever seen. Watching them was more impressive than the recent Bama defenses too I think bc the blitzes came from everywhere.

at least 7-3 2011 wins....Brockers, Mingo, and Sam up front, Mo > Webster, Taylor and 2011 Reid, + HB7 causing turnovers. It wouldn't be close.

Lavalais, Spears, Hill, Kyle Williams, Kirston Pittman and Mel Oliver in 03

Webster and Daniels led the nation in PBUs in 03. Hunt as the center fielder, Laron as the rover. our 3rd and 4th CBs (Gay and Prude) went to the NFL.

oh, let's talk LBs. '11 Minter and Lionel Turner are a wash. I'll call Baker and Eric Alexander a wash. Cam Vaughn >>>> x infiinity any other '11 OLB.

but hey, it wouldn't be close.

put Mauck on 11 and they win 10-0 imo.

As long as '03 has to take JJ/JL and the dumpster fire that was our QB controversy

Mauck playing QB for both teams I think still gives 03 the edge.
