Someone jokingly mentioned how a .30-.30 was a great "brush gun" in another thread and I laughed, remembering hearing this BS at deer camp when I was young.
I remember a guy in high school telling me that a M16 bullet tumbles through the air, and that's why it does so much damage when it hits a body.

I actually heard someone explain to me the tumbling effects of the .223 round without knowing I was a gun guy. I had to explain to him that it tumbles once it has already pierced flesh and does not "bounce around" like others say.
People say the same thing about 22s. "Man 22s can mess you up because they go in and just bounce around."
