Are you looking for traditional Italian or a mix?

Cafe Giovanni is described as having Creole Italian and I like the food very much.

I haven't been to A Mano, but it gets very nice reviews from those who have. It's a bit more eclectic in nature having looked at the menu and read folks' reviews.

Take a look at the Dining Guide to your left just above the list of message boards and look at Italian restaurant in New Orleans and you can look at menus, reviews and ratings.

I'm partial to Maximios, but I'd admit it's not quite as refined as some of the other places listed here, so I don't know if I could call it the "best."

Need to go back to Eleven79. Used to love the place before their original chef died. Went back not long after and was really disappointed and haven't returned. I'd be happy to know that they got their act back together.

Is Tony Moran's in the French Quarter worth a damn? I'm leary of tourist traps in the FQ but have walked by it a gazillion times and have always been curious. I don't recall it ever being mentioned here. What's the F&D's take on this place?

You'd be a brave soul to try it.

It's on Bourbon St., and it seems the same Tony Soprano looking guy has been standing outside of it with a menu for as long as I can remember.

Just curious if this place is legit.

Here's a vote for Impastato's as my favorite. Is it the best? Doesn't matter to me. It's still my favorite.
