How about this statement? It is harder for some than it is for others but most people make it harder than it actually is....

How about this? Most who post in this thread do so because putting the fork down is not consistently easy. Some who post here find it so easy that to them it is hard to believe that everyone else in here is making it hard for no reason.

You're cracking on 100# losers like you know what they've been through and then miffed about the pushback.

re: PuttaDaForkDown

It's more about becoming content than it is having the will power to keep eating right.

You lose weight, your life changes. You start to think it is ok to eat bad for a day or 2. Next thing you know, you are a slob again.

When you initially fall off the ladder, that's just being content.

When you are on a 3 week binge, then you have officially "lost" again.

And whoever said "oh you're coming at guys who lost 100#".... Well honestly myth and hulk have added nothing but excuses for what seems like weeks now. How does that help the morale of this thread?

If anything it promotes being "ok" with eating like shite and not exercising. I can see both sides but mouton isn't totally wrong.

re: PuttaDaForkDown

I've been exercising consistently for weeks now. Kind of have a workout partner now, that's helping a lot. We work out at least twice a week together now.

And I don't have much in the way of excuses for poor dieting; I eat well most of the week, then screw up one or two days on the weekend and undo what I did all week. I know it's an issue and it's something I'm working on, but I don't sit here and make excuses for it. If you accuse me of failing at controlling my eating, you have a fair point and I would agree with you. But I don't make excuses. It's tough to control myself, especially once booze is involved.. but I don't blame anyone or anything but myself for my recent struggles.

And to your point of getting complacent - I agree wholeheartedly. Before I hit 250 I was getting complacent; I don't totally hate the way I look anymore. Once I hit 250 it was like the part of me that wanted to be healthy shut off for a few weeks.. I pigged out, ate like shite. I did have excuses then - I vacationed in Austin, then I said I was stressed about a test and blah blah blah. Those things are true but really nothing but excuses. And I'm done with those.

I'm not saying you're blaming anyone.

It's always "oh i havent lost weight, or I've gained 3 lbs... Drank 14 beers and ate Taco Bell.... Or the co workers brought donuts & fired chicken..."

In other words what I call excuses. Kind of counter productive to the topic of this thread.

"Oh man!! Myth ate donuts again this morning!!! How motivating!"

Oh okay, well those aren't excuses IMHO. Those are just straight up failures

As for being counter-productive.. meh. I see what you're saying, but I like that everyone's failures and successes can be put on display here. We're human... we make dumb decisions, and everyone does from time to time. This thread isn't meant to be purely a motivational thread.. it's for people to come in, have a group to help hold themselves accountable. Lately it hasn't been working so well though :/

re: PuttaDaForkDown

Like I stated earlier I was wrong in saying it is easy. I don't know the struggles or experiences of others, only my own. Other than that I'm not sure what I said that was so wrong. I think I gave good advice on how to maintain after reaching your goal. Also I don't see how one can argue that the average person doesn't make weight loss way harder than it is.

Good job, Hulk. At least you take on the personal responsibility and don't blame outside "influences" or "temptations," which so many fat people trying to lose weight do, instead of calling it what it really is .. which is weakness and a flaw in character. Not to say those things cannot be worked on and remedied.

I also think you have done a great job Hulk along with everyone here. Shit, just making the commitment to try and better oneself physically is more than most are willing to do.

So here it is.. I'm going to give it my best shot this time - hence me posting in this thread. I haven't read all 600+ pages of this thread so correct me if I do this wrong.

Start - 222
Today - 222
Goal - 175

Haven't posted in this thread since I started... feeling like its a good day for an update though

222/206.6/175

I'm pretty happy with the progress in the first 2 months, but I've still got a ways to go.
