If so, that's just sad. I understand wanting to reward teams that have good seasons with a regional but they should at least consider the type of facilities and force teams to upgrade if they want to host.

1250 to be exact. That is seating. They also have a hill/berm that can hold more.

1800 in their last regional.

That looks like some kind of public recreation facility.

Well, opposing fan noise should not be an issue.

I know of HS baseball fields that seat more than that.

The hill/berm doesn't count.

That is pathetic for a school the size of UCLA.

Or go to minor league parks in the vicinity.

They ought to play this one at Chavez Ravine - Dodger Stadium.

The softball field actually has a larger listed seating capacity, 1300+

Some schools focus more on academics than athletics. Because of the mentality of the majority of Louisianians, LSU is not one of those schools.

Put some damn Tailgating tents on those hills next to the field, cook some gumbo/jambalaya and play some Louisiana Saturday Night to get our boys the feeling of home...

What does that have to do with anything we're talking about here?

Perhaps this has a lot to do with why espn isn't covering the UCLA series.

These facililililities are awful.
