Some schools focus more on academics than athletics. Because of the mentality of the majority of Louisianians, LSU is not one of those schools.

You should just make this your sig, it's your stance on EVERYTHING. UCLA has great academics, but they also drop bank on all of their other sports. For THAT to be their baseball field is ridiculous.

Is that why UCLA has more National Championships than anyone?

Perhaps this has a lot to do with why espn isn't covering the UCLA series.

Will there be any tv for the series?

WTF does that have to do with UCLA's pitiful baseball field? We are not talking a chess marathon here, chief.

UCLA fans don't generally give a rip about sports in general, which is why the program(s) there play second fiddle to others in the SoCal area.

UCLA is a good academic school. There are other academic schools that do well in athletics as well. UCLA isn't one of them.

I understand wanting to reward teams that have good seasons with a regional but they should at least consider the type of facilities and force teams to upgrade if they want to host.

I agree. In fact that was the knock against LSU in the past that kept the softball team from hosting regionals. The NCAA said that the facilities were sub-par. Apparently, if you're in the PAC-10, this condition does not apply.

And at Tulane, you do neither. Just living off the name.
