My Tebow angle for Denver

One could argue that Denver reached for him but other teams were after him so Denver made a deal they felt they needed to secure him.
Getting past that, what i Feel is overlooked in a way is what Tebow instantly and could ever bring to this team no matter what kind of QB or franchise QB he may or may not turn into is that hard running wild cat QB who'll have a large package of plays whether Orton is the guy or if Brady becomes the guy, they'll always have Tebow coming in the offense with that hard running dynamic offense that can keep chains moving and keep the team competitive in games.
Who did Denver trade this offseason that everyone thought was weird... Peyton Hillis. I think Tebow brings this kind of dynamic back to the running game even though he probably won't be utilized in the fullback way.
So if Tebow becomes the savior quarterback 2-3 years from now... wonderful.
If not, he's still going to have an instant impact on this team's success with what he's guaranteed to bring to this offense.

Trading a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for a wildcat QB, no matter how you spin it, sure as hell looks fricking retarded.

You say some dumbshit, Chad, but I agree with you here.
I was arguing with numerous people about this last night. Denver obviously has a spot for him in their offense, besides being their starting QB. People are hung up on the QB thing...

Tebow may contribute to the Denver Broncos but not enought to justify what they gave up for it.
Lets make this very clear Tebow was drafted to be the QB of the Broncos. You do not draft someone with the 25 pick of the draft and give up three additional draft pics to run in short yard situations.
I like Tebow and think he is a great guy but at the end of the day he will never be a great NFL player.
The irony of it all will be in college he made his coach a legend and in the Pro's he will make his coach unemployed.

I don't know anything particular now, but you often say dumb things. But you are right here.

this was the worst pick in the draft and they dont even have to finish the draft for me to say that
he's going to replace Peyton Hillis?? Great. You dont take Peyton Hillis replacement in the 1st round when u have other glaring needs

This is the steal of the first round, and possibly the best pick of the draft, and I don;t need to finish the draft without saying that....

I see the point but I think Tebow's influence in what he brings to that struggling offense will have an exponential impact on the success of the team as a whole. Do we need to discuss his heart and determination and leader in the locker room cause i will!

He's a rookie, people are going to laugh at this kid before they respect him.
considering the Bronco's QB situation it just doesnt make sense
you have Orton, who by all means had a decent year last year
you have Brady Quinn, who has shown flashes. And is possibly your starter. But still needs coaching and development.
and you take another QB that you will also have to devote a lot of time too??? Face it, Tebow isnt going to start in the NFL for a long time.
If your goal is for him to be an h-back or a goal line back, or a blocking FB, why not just take someone who is A)already better at doing that and B)will be able to devote all his time to playing position good.
shoot, his teammate Aaron Hernandez is a better runner and catcher than he is. Take him if you want to fill that need.
or take Gerhart if you want to "replace" the great RB that was Peyton Hillis
Its just a horrible pick all the way around.

Clearly You and I have different definitions of what a steal is.
It is clear you are a big fan of Tebow, and he very well may develope into a good NFL football player. But how can you justify using a first round pick and giving up your 2nd, 3rd and five or spots in the 4ht round for one player.
If I were Brandon Marshall I would have not caught the balls in practice either. This team has a couple of tough years ahead of it.

I just know that there NEVER has been a player like him at his position. He's a competitor. Who would you want, Jamarcus Russell or Tim Tebow, if they were both in the same draft class several years ago. Look now, Russell has the work ethic of a crackhead on a welfare check. With Tebow, you know that you're going to get 100% effort not only on every game play, but ever rep in practice, every minute off of the field, and you won't have to worry about him getting rape charges or shooting himself. I never have bet against Tebow and I just don't see how people can. Whenever people do count him out, he shows up stronger than anyone could imagine.

Nowhere near it. Went to LSU while Tebow was at UF. Don't like the guy at all.
I just have a problem with people attacking this pick as the worst pick of the entire draft (after the first round) without having ANY idea about how the Broncos intend to use him.

Not really buying the kid needs respect to go there and have an impact in their team and fit in. He'll get respect over time but instant respect isn't needed. Period.

Orton is the starter IMO. Brady is there to compete. Tebow's role doesn't affect either of two this year IMO. If Brady wins the job, Orton won't be around for long and Tebow will still have the same future. But I don't think Brady is going to do much of shite.

Tebow could never start and still be a great success for that team IMO. Who gives a shite if he's on a 3 year plan to be a starting qb when you are getting great impact from him in the short term with certain packages.

None of which are a quarterbacking threat when they have the ball in their hands and Tebow has shown to be as good of a short distance runner as their is.
The organization obviously wants to invest their time and their money and their development into this guy. It's not right or wrong, its what they want to do. Philip Rivers didnt' see the field period until his 3rd year, he worked out fine and was a much higher pick.
ALso Aaron Rodgers, took until his 4th year to get on the field, he worked out fine. And both Rodgers and Rivers had much less of an impact for the team than what tebow will give to denver while he's not the starter.
