I've got a K2 to use as a casting platform. $250 is cheaper than buying an actual casting platform, and I can use if for other things. Only other way I'd get one is if I had an offshore boat that I'd spend multiple days out. I'd get a huge one in that case.

Im not sure what he paid. Its an 80 qt and amazon has them for $307. I think i remember seeing some better prices around. Its ice retention is pretty good, but i cannot truly compare to a Yeti. It holds longer than standard ice chest though.

IMHO this is really the only area of improvement for igloo. An igloo with those rubber handle.

only in a perfect world i guess...

I know a gentleman that purchased 3 of them on the live auction at Josey's benefit a few weeks ago. He took home $2,500 of Yetis that evening. They did contain mystery guns in them and it went to a great cause. Point being, that man was serious as shite about becoming a Yeti that evening.

I sure almost got busted trying to run the wrapped yeti up. I was certain I was bringing home a 1k yeti that evening.

Coleman Xtreme FTMFW

IIRC, I paid $50 for mine, and it once kept two bags of ice for a week and two days before it all melted

My Yeti Tundra 420 will pay for itself with all the ice I will save! Can't wait to start using it for tailgating!

You can buy a small refrigerator for the price of a Yeti. Those guys up and down Plank road selling coons can tell that.

It is just stupid to waste your money buying one. More of a status symbol really. All you need is a Yeti sticker alongside a Falcon rod sticker, and everyone will know you are legit. They'll probably think of you as the tournament angler or guide who is the Jesus of the water

I don't have one and don't have a need for one. I do need to pick me up another 120 igloo. My buddy has a yeti, who has every other status symbol and makes 250k a year but lives check to check.

I do not. I have a friend who has a huge one. We hate it because it weighs 200 fricking pounds. Add ice and 2-3 limits of trout, and you need a damn forklift. He is an idiot, and only bought it to be cool. It didn't work.

I've been using the same igloo ice chest for about 10 years. Hinges are broken, but the top stays put and it works for what it is - a place to put fish.

Looks like Igloo is getting into the rugged outdoor cooler game.

Anybody have an Igloo Sportsman?

Seems legit, but I've never seen one of these until just now browsing their website. Can't find a price with a quick google search...

Edit: $229 via SAM'S Club website
