There's a big discussion on the Toledo Bend Facebook page about this.

If I get to go on my one to two trips a year, I'll keep some to eat. I love eating them.

Anything over 3-4 lbs I usually throw back

I only keep under 3lbs and I love eating them. I grew up bass fishing so it's a favorite of mine.

Never keep any over 4
Never keep a female full of eggs

Try to only keep 4-5 a trip.

I'll load up on white perch though. No mercy.

I love a 1-2 lb bass. I usually cook bass on the grill. Get grill real hot and basically blacken em.

Seems to me like bass out of the big lakes don't taste near as good as bass out of a small pond. I think it has to do with the lake bass feeding on shad.

My bad it was only five fish for over 36 pounds. Friend that fished it, said that none were over eight pounds or under seven.

Someone won a tourney there this weekend with seven or eight fish that all weighed around seven pounds.

Did you start cleaning one then realized you forgot to take a picture?

Hadn't heard shite on sac au lait. Buddy caught a few small bass today, but he had his little boy with him. Don't know how hard he was fishing. Ain't been out in a while though, still laid up

Saw that. Hope you get better and get out there soon. Thinking about heading that way Friday. Not sure if we should fish belle river or spillway

Not particularly good fish to eat imo. I'd rather catch a bunch of bass and eat a bunch of crappie.

Edit: I see a lot disagree with this. Maybe I just haven't had good bass

I keep em. I eat em. I like em.

How many people keep fish in Toledo? Best bass lake in the nation.

The catch and release guys really are a miserable bunch of fricks.
