Have a Browning Bar and love it. Recoil is non-existent and follow up shots are quick if needed. Heavy gun though.

I have a 20 year old Rem 7400. Its an OK gun but will never be more than that. Best you can expect to shoot is a 2-2.5 inch group.

Dad just got a brand new BAR longtrac and its a beast. Tack driver.

I have a BAR in .308 and one in 7mm rem mag. I killed an 8 pt with the 7 yesterday. Both are very accurate. They shoot as well as my a-bolt. If you buy one, I would get the Safari not the new model.

Say a deer's vital area is 15" that's a solid 300-400yd deer killer.

ETA: Bad math

I have the Browning Bar in 7mm mag and love it , I have had mine for 16 Years . I had a gun dealer tell me the Bar is the closest to a bolt gun that you can get .

What type of BAR do you guys have?

I got the lightweight stalker. Thought I would use the open sights but after a year I just threw a scope on it. Looks sharp with the black scope.

The M1A is a terrific rifle, accurate out to 800 yards easily if you know how to use it.

But it is a heavy bitch.

Just finished an AR in 6.8 that I intend to use for deer/hogs.
Will be accurate and deadly to 400yds+
At 100yds it had a 5 shot group in just over a quarter.
