re: School me on the X3 by Winchester - dwr353
You should be able to get a good deal on one since Win.is replacing it with the SX4. I had one, fine shotgun. I just could not shoot it well. If it ain't got a hump, I am lost....

re: Is Nick Satan a rat? - dwr353
He does not have time to be a rat. He is too busy signing #1 classes and planning on winning his next title. Like him or not, he is the standard. By the way, F Bama....

re: New boat prices - dwr353
It is up to the buyer as to new or used. When I bought mine I shopped new and used. I found a used custom built Gravois 19ft bayboat. It had an 8 year old outboard. Negotiated a fair price and bought it. Sold the engine and bought a new one. It is built like a safe and will outlast me. When i...

re: Coach O up next on Finbaum - dwr353
My point was, everyone is not laughing about O. To continually worry about what might be is useless. If we survived Hallman, we should be ok. ...

re: Coach O up next on Finbaum - dwr353
I have to disagree with you. I am in Destin now. I listened in on several guys talking in a line this morning. None were LSU fans. All we're talking about how Ogeron was a threat to keep instate talent and was a perfect fit. One guy, a Bama fan, said give him some time and he will be dangerou...

Some additional info on the event: The Japanese brought Water Hycianth plants with them. Samples were given to visitors. It is said the plants were blooming at the time. People put them back in bayous near their homes to see the purple flowers. The invasive plant multiplied to create the mess...

re: The only Independence Day I will celebrate is... - dwr353
I had ancestors who fought against the British in the Acadian component of the Spanish militia. Had multiple ancestors who served the Confederacy. My grandfather was a Doughboy. My father was a gunner's mate in the South Pacific. My cousin was paralyzed at Normandy and my wife's uncle was killed...

re: Would FDR turn over in his grave - dwr353
He was a conservationist. Conservation is the wise use of renewable natural resources. Do not confuse it with the mis-guided concept of preservationists. Modern conservation supported by sportsman has resulted in sustainable, healthy populations of fish and wildlife. This is what TR wanted. After...

re: Retired OT Posters: Share Your Experiences - dwr353
Wanted to add that I just returned from a week in Colorado. Fished for three days and we are headed to Destin with a friend and his wife to stay at their beach house for a week. In Oct., it's off to Wyoming for a big game hunt before duck season starts. Retirement is great to say the least. Inve...

re: Me and the Kid Drew Wyoming Antelope - dwr353
Made my first hunt there 22 years ago. This was before oil and coal development and the resulting population increase. We drove up from Douglas and saw mule deer and antelope in numbers we could have never dreamed of. You could get trespass rights to private ranches for $100 to $200!...
