Superior to both of what? What are you asking?

Stainless is more tolerable to rain since it is supposed to be rust proof.

Stainless guns usually have synthetic stocks, but not always.

I've got a stainless ruger 22 with a synthetic stock. It is my favorite gun.

My stainless 10/22 came with a wood stock. I did some research and found out it was a special run done specifically for Walmart. I wound up taking the stock and replacing it for the ATI collapsible/folding stock.

Stainless would be superior to wood and synthetic, right?

Stainless

Synthetic

A stainless receiver and barrel have nothing to do with stock choice. A blued gun with wood stock will last as long as a stainless/synthetic combo will if you take care of it.

eta: from that link I think you mean laminate stock. They're still wood, just not one solid piece. It's like plywood and is coated. Not better, just another option.

Stainless barrel and synthetic stock will survive the elements better than blued barrel and wood stock.

Won't nessasarily shoot any better.

So true. Take care of them and they will be handed down to your grand kids.

I have some 60 year old guns that have some wear on them but still in great shape.

Yea I have a Remington 1100 that was my grandfather's in the 70s. Has some scratches in the wood stock and a little rust, but it is my go to teal gun.

Take care of your guns and they will last a long time.
