Got my KAK shockwave buffer tube, a quick disconnect end plate, and handguard fit up. Now I just need to build my lower and put a muzzle device on that extends pass the hand guard and it will be functional. Will upgrade to the Better Mag adapter, MP15-22 mags, and Shockwave blade after I function test it.



Wanted to get the handguard installed to make sure the flash can I picked out will fit properly with it before I bought it. 3.25" flash can should protrude out of the end of the handguard about 1-1/8"


Will pick up a lower parts kit and get the lower built up in the next couple of days.

Does anybody have any experience with F1 Firearms? Specifically their BDR15-3G upper/lower sets and their handguards.

Instead of the CTR stock I would suggest looking at a Ti-7 stock. It's sold under a couple of different brands. Tactical Intent. Exos Defense. Etc. It's like a love child of the SOPMOD and CTR. Easy to remove and install, pulling down on the adjusting handle pulls the pin back far enough to remove it. Springs on the inside to prevent rattle but stil slides easily and doesn't require a second lever to secure it. Storage compartments for batteries an occasional tax stamp. Great wide cheek weld that does't pull the hairs out of your face. Love the rounded bottom corner that help rolling the rifle up to your shoulder. Pic of one on my rifle.

I am a rifle nut but don't have the AR sickness in full yet. Please advise on the quality of these rifles and value at this price point.

Some sick set ups these past couple of pages
On the subject of optics, what are the advantages/disadvantages to lower 1/3 co-witness over absolute for red dots? Or is it strictly a matter of user preference?
