re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
As far as felt recoil not really, but it's definitely quieter (especially when suppressed) and makes the rifle feel smoother imo if that makes sense....

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
I've ran my 300BLK sbr in all those scenarios with no hiccups. My 5.56 has only been shot unsuppressed and with a 16" barrel, but also runs fine. My sbr stamp is due in the next couple weeks, so I'll let you know shortly if I run into any issues running the 5.56 SBR'd and suppressed ...

re: Spare AR parts. What to do with them? - Soul Gleaux
Sat on most of mine for awhile. If you get to a point where you basically rebuild your whole rifle (new trigger, handguard, optic, SBR it, etc.) you can sling some stuff fairly easy on various equipment exchanges. Haven't had to come out of pocket very much for upgrades doing this....

re: Form 4 wait time - Soul Gleaux
Would be great if it stayed around 5 months. Just hit 4 months on my Form 1, and 3 months on my Form 4's. Last I saw Form 1's were 5 months as well so I'm getting close on it hopefully....

I'm not familiar with the ASR, but if the can goes past the base of the brake at all it may not clear the end of the rail. My can for instance does (go past the base of the brake), and there's no way it would have room in your application. ETA: fairly certain there's quite a few folks on here tha...

It's a single contained unit rather than a big arse individual spring with separate buffer. ETA: rather that's how it differs. As far as how it's better, see the above post....

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
A5 wasn't around at the time for one  . The main things the JP provides is complete elimination of the obnoxious spring noise from a traditional buffer, and just overall makes the action smoother imo. If shooting suppressed, the spring noise is much more noticeable, therefore the JP spring re...

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
Nope, spring will run fine as far as I know with any bcg. Have never had a hiccup with BCM bcg's, and they're standard milspec. They recently came out with H2 versions for SBR/suppressed applications as well. Picked one up for my 9" 300BLK and its a noticeable difference from their old standard o...
Anyone running the VLTOR A5 buffer system in there gun?
If you're planning on shooting primarily suppressed (or hell, even not suppressed), I highly recommended a JP silent capture spring. I can't live without em at this point, have one in all my builds....

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
If you fill it out correctly, you won't be turned down. There's just a certain way it's supposed to be filled out. For instance, I had a Mega billet lower. They make like 3 different models of Mega billet lowers. I assumed that when it said "model" that it was asking what model firearm I was con...
