re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
I've installed a few of their items, all are well made. I got my hands on one of their "extreme environment" gas tubes for cheap so I tried it out. It is significantly thicker than a standard gas tube, and makes for an extremely tight fit over the barrel nut and into the receiver. That is the onl...

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
Traditional mag well block and upper clam shell block work well, but the clam shell won't fit many billet uppers. I got a magpul bevblock and love it, if a first time buyer i highly recommend it above anything else. Also, the magpul armorer's wrench is very well made, and has performed better than...

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
If you don't have roll pin holders/punches, I've done quite a few with just a set of channel locks. Tape the hell out of the receiver and the channel locks though, and even then you run a pretty high risk of scratching the receiver....

re: PPQ VP9 or Sig 320? - Soul Gleaux
From doing some research and viewing Bapple's video, I consistently found that both the PPQ and VP9 are great pistols. I knew I wanted to suppress it in the future, so I opted for the PPQ because, at the time, the VP9 didn't have a model offered with a threaded barrel. Also, a PPQ Navy (the thread...

About to install a Govnah gas block from MicroMOA, any posters have one? Or have experience with them? Hoping it functions well, and solves the issue of my 5.56 SBR gassing me to death when suppressed. ...

Kalurah Street Grill soft opening (old Chelsea's BR) - Soul Gleaux
Went for the soft opening tonight, renovation looks very nice. Service was outstanding. Snapped a pic of the menu, but as you can see lighting was dim. So no pics of our food unfortunately. We had the duck Wellington and the oysters for apps, both were great. For entrees, the scallops and the h...

re: Trijicon or Truglo night sights? - Soul Gleaux
Not sure if it's a universal thing, but mine was. I ordered an apex trigger and the trijicon HD's to install in one sitting (changing the striker block requires removing the rear sight anyways, so figured it's best to do in one sitting). I ruined a brass punch or 2 after that. I taped everything ...

re: a very nice surprise came in the mail from silencerco today - Soul Gleaux
Didn't feel it needed it's own thread, but I got to shoot my Mask for the first time today. Used my M&P 22 compact as the host, the Mask is laughably more quiet than my Sparrow, and with little to no point of impact shift. Highly recommend for those in the rimfire can market....

re: Official AR-15 thread - Soul Gleaux
As the resident Dead Air fanboy, I thought this was pretty cool, and may interest all you Omega owners. They have adapters in the works that will allow the use of their QD system, and thus their flash hiders and brakes, with the Omega and Saker. Their QD really is as simple as is gets, especially ...

re: 9MM or .40 pistol recommendations - Soul Gleaux
sweet gun, shot my uncle's in october.. a little out of my price range (i was told to pick out a pistol at or under $500.. i know that limits my options, but it's not a terrible price point)
VP9's can be found quite often online for just over $500 fwiw. Currently out of stock, but...

re: What to do with leftover gumbo? - Soul Gleaux
I usually take it a step further than you did (a la French Press in Lafayette), and do what they call a Cajun Benedict. Toast some French bread, fry up a boudin ball to put on it, top it with a poached egg, and float it in the leftover gumbo. So damn good. [img]http://i1338.photobucket.com/album...
Prop
Not really AR related, but figured you may have some good info on this. What are the pros/cons for direct thread vs piston suppressor mounts for a pistol?...
