Does anybody have any experience using parts from palmetto state armory? Specifically, I was looking at PSA 16" MIDLENGTH 5.56 CHF ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT UPPER - WITH BCG AND CHARGING HANDLE. I didn't know if this stuff was junk, or if it was ok stuff. Should I just look for parts from a more reputable manufacturer and build upper from scratch? I want something lightweight, and I'm trying to keep a reasonable budget.

As long as you stay away from their PTAC line of cheap stuff they are usually GTG. PSA makes good stuff you just have to wait for it as they are slow to build and ship.

Never tried that one before. After playing with it for a couple of minutes I'd say I prefer Gunstruction.

Seems to have a greater selection of parts and you can tool around with it in 3D. Doesn't work in Chrome though.

Finally ready to finish my pistol build. Looking for a 5.56 complete upper for around $500 but I could go up to $750. Anyone seen any good deals lately?

I'm looking at building my first AR at some point this summer. I have started researching all the stuff recently but I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to most of the parts and things needed.
I have picked out a couple parts so far that I like and I am open to all suggestions on what else to pair with them.

VLTOR MUR 1A upper
Daniel Defense LPK
Troy Alpha Rail 15"
BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle
Any recommendations on a Lower, Flash Suppressor, Stock, and BCG?

Noveske Gen 3 NST
Go all out Noveske, you won't regret it.
I can honestly say that I've owned several AR platform rifles & before I picked up this Noveske it seemed like I was always chasing & trying to build the perfect AR. This rifle shoots .5 moa all day. My chase ended with this rifle.

You won't regret it, what barrel length did you go with? I also have a 10.5 that started life as a pistol but soon will be a SBR pending stamp arrival.

Dunno if anyone is interested, but Larue Tactical is offering their Stealth and OBR Barrels starting at $200. I am thinking of getting an 18 inch barrel and a larue MBT trigger.

I built my 10.5 with a gen 1 upper & Lower, Daniel Defense LPK, NSR 11" rail, and used the stupid Sig Brace until a few months ago. Now I'm waiting to get the stamp so i can legally put a stock & shoulder the damn thing like it's meant to be used.
