Scary as hell but entertaining. We were fishing about 60 miles out and hammering the fish. It got dark and the water got very calm. By the time we noticed, we were surrounded by dark clouds. Then, a few water spouts sprang up around us. It was extremely terrifying, but incredible to watch.

I was cruising the river in my ski boat. Two drunk guys in a john boat with about a 20hp motor were broke down. I stopped asked if they needed help. They wanted a tow to the boat ramp. I tossed a ski rope to the guy in front and told him to tie it to his boat. He said I'll just hold the rope. I started towing them and the old boy was struggling to hold the ski rope. His partner came from the back of the boat to help him out. The front of the john boat went under water and was diving deeper. He hung on for a little bit and it was just 2 heads being towed behind my boat with the gas tank, cooler, and beer cans floating on the surface.

I've seen some good ones at boat ramps. Hell just last weekend I was fishing the BFL on Toledo and it was out of San Miguel. There were 154 boats, and the ramp is only two wide. We got there at 4:00 AM and launched and just pulled up on the bank and watched the show.

It was going good, trucks and boats moving through pretty steady. Then this big 21' purple and silver Phoenix comes down being pulled by a white suburban. They get it backed into the water and he's got it way off in there and the boat isn't floating off. The guy hits the motor and is trying to back off, nothing. The driver pulls up, and turns out ol boy had forgot to undo the back straps. He gets them off, tries again. Still not coming off the trailer. He had forgot to undo the front strap, too!

I felt bad for the guy, cause we've all done it, but he did it with probably 80+ boats already in the water and a line waiting for him to go

Berwick landing opening day big duck season, a couyon with a whaler (it always seems to be a boston whaler), they back onto launch than proceed to unload everything from the truck to the boat... as a bonus they have a dog that wont listen worth .... and it sounds like a HS football game w/ whistles and yelling. When ole baw backs up about 5 boats waiting to launch it gets good. Must admit I’ve been in the line waiting to launch and given our boy an earful ....

Many years ago, my dumba$$ got caught by low tide. USCG asks if we have life jackets, we tell them yes. They ask are we wearing them, we say no. They ask for us to please put them on. We do, even though there is no water.

I have always believed that if you can't laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at others.

I launch my boat by myself probably 99% of the time. Back trailer down, jump out, put splice line around trailer post. Jump back in, bump boat off trailer, line feeds out and then it happened. I had two lines tied together, at least I thought I did. Knot gives way and boat continues to float out into the nasty arse bayou I launch in. Of course, the first thing I do is look around to see if anyone has seen this stupid human trick. Fortunately it was fairly early & I was the only one laughing at me. Had a nice swim in that cess pool.

Was nailing some boards into a dock at my friends camp at Cocodrie, I hear a boat roaring down the bayou......I look up and there's a hot chick in front of said boat naked as the day as she was born.

I did this Saturday at half moon. I was running around frantic and trying to figure out how to get my boat and watch my two little kids. First time that's happened surprisingly. I have had numerous other frick ups as well, including my buddy launching me in my boat on the launch in the middle of our small hometown.

ETA: if you're on the bridge at half moon, facing east, the folks at that SE corner are the salt of the earth.

On a three day trip trolling between Nakika and the Independence Hub. Saw some birds and went over to check it out. Turned out to be 5 whale sharks vertical in the water with swarms of tuna around them. We put out a spread and first pass we had three Blues come right up to the transom and start wrecking shite. Hooked up two, and jumped both of them off. Stayed around for another two hours catching tuna and watching the show. Remarkable creatures. Beautiful day.

Sitting in my kayak in some no-name bayou West of Leeville. See a huge wave coming down the bayou, it was a bow wave from 3 dolphins. Blow past me about 40 MPH into the bend of a turn, then a bunch of pogies jump out of the shallow water, dolphins catching them in the air and chasing them up against the mud bank. Damn coolest thing I've ever seen outdoors.

Watching a dolphin give birth isn't the most awe-inspiring thing ever, but it's pretty neat to see in person nonetheless.

Last summer while in ft Walton beach my son and I rented a yak to take out into the gulf. It was a calm morning with little or no current. When we got about 100 yards offshore 8 dolphins surrounded us as they were chasing mullet. My son was amazed and it lasted 5 minutes or so. It by far was the coolest thing I'd seen personally on the water.

Was fishing with my dad in the Tchefuncte River and ducked off into a canal that leads to a sewerage treatment plant and there were 2 dudes running a train on a chick in a bass boat.

Just so happen I seen ole baw at the gas station yesterday. I didn't talk to him.

I didn't actually see this happen personally, but crazy story none the less. And not entertaining by any means but this thread made me think of it. This happened to an old buddy I met from frequenting the local rivers years ago.

The guy I know was running his boat on the Amite River. One of his friends was in a separate boat running near him. His friend's boat slung a blade off the propeller, which in turn lodged itself into the side of my buddy's face. He had to goto the ER for stitches and shite and ended up being fine besides a scar. Talk about a crazy situation that could have had much worse results.

I was around 10 years old and we were out with family in a few boats skiing and shite. My 40 year old aunt jumped into the water and when she came back above water to reach to climb back in the boat, her bathing suit top had slipped down. Her big tittie with that big round nipple was hanging out for everyone to see.

Not entertaining I know, but I still have that image in my head 30 years later

Was at long boat key a few years ago with the family and got popped by a sting ray. I didn't think it was funny but my wife laughed and laughed.

Was at St George Island a couple of years ago and was on the bar off the beach fishing. Catching every now and then, different things. Generally enjoying myself and watching the kids play in the sand. Look down the beach and see this huge dark figure in the water heading toward me. The water was about waist deep. As it gets closer I start getting a little nervous and even more so as it's maybe 10ft from me. Then it sticks it's nose up and it's a dang manatee. I was just about to shite myself. It was no more than 5 ft from me. I started yelling for my kids to get out there. They finally do to see it swimming down the beach.

Pretty awesome experience.

I feel like I'm on the water enough to where I should see some these water sex excursions but I guess not.

Closest was hearing a couple while we were canoeing whiskey chito; we came around the corner and ole baw was walking into the woods from the bank, bare arse and gave us that classic bigfoot turnaround glance.

I got bumped by a manatee in south florida when I was little and it terrified the frick out of me. my day of water skiing was over. also, when you are young and in the water any kind of fin will make you shite your pants.
