My only naked encounter was on a canoe trip on black creek. I broke camp kind of early one morning and as I was coming around a bend, some dude was standing next to his tent with his bare arse facing me. He dove inside pretty quick. His fat old lady thankfully had clothes in and she was sitting outside laughing her arse off

another posters dad walked up on two girls carpet munching on E. Timbilair. I'm not even going to try and re-tell the story because only he can but they asked him what he was doing out there and he said something to the effect of "i'm the fricking mayor of timbilair island, what are you doing here?"

Panama City Beach back in the mid 80's

Ol baw pulls a big cigarrete boat up and anchors @ 100 yds or so off the beach. Him and his bud swim in and head to the bar at La Vela's.About 30 mins or so go by and some drunk beyotches decide they want to be out on the boat. They swim out and get on the boat...followed by a couple of drunk beachgoing baws...followed by more chicks.
Pretty soon there are about 15-20 drunks on the boat and the weight has the transom pushed down enough to where the waves are starting to roll in over the back. Boat floods as everyone goes screaming and getting off said boat. Owner finally hears about what's happening and comes flying out of the bar and screaming at folks to get off his f-ing boat but the damage is done. He tries rounding up some of the drunks as they make it back to the beach but they quickly mix in to the crowd of hundreds on land.
Felt bad for the old baw but you bring a toy like that around a thousand or so drunks on the beach and your rolling the dice.

Witnessed first hand, and would have been pretty entertaining if I'd been watching:

The day after my high school graduation, my best friend and I went to Toledo Bend with a 14' jon boat and 9.9 hp rig in tow. We were camping at Circle Drive (extreme North end of the lake) and I always fished across the lake (Tuckers Lake area). After a few hours of fishing the first afternoon, we decided to head in to the camp at dusk, when the pos motor stripped all gears and would not push us. Trolling motor battery ran out within just a few minutes and we were stranded with no boat paddles, on the Texas side of the lake.

We tried to flag down a few other boats going in, with no success in getting help. Panic set in as dark was fast approaching and thunder was rumbling in the distance. I decided to tie my underwear and socks into a flag, dipped them in the gas tank, and lit the torch/flag on fire to hopefully get someone's attention and some help. No success.

Wind came up as a small thunderstorm passed through, so we threw out the anchor and waited it out. After a couple of hours the wind died down, so we started paddling through thick hydrilla and buck brush with fiberglass "bream busters" we had brought for bream fishing. They were soon broken all to hell but would still work to pull with.

We could see the lights of the power plant the whole time, but it seemed like an eternity to get back to the bank. We finally got to the camp at 3 am and went to bed.

When we got up around 11 the next morning, we drove in to Logansport so my friend could call his mother, like she'd asked him to do. We found out that she was on the way to get him, so we just waited there. Friend got in the car with his mother and I went back to the camp to try to get the motor going so I could get back in the lake.

Great memory I'll never forget, and pretty damn funny when I think back on it.

While surf fishing in GI, I watched my cousin shite himself when a porpoise surfaced about 5 feet from him. Laughed until I almost threw up. Ol boy went straight Jesus Christ on us.

Another good one was one day my buddy, his dad and I were cutting across lake verret. His dad was sitting on the back deck since it was a small xpress and we're all pretty healthy. Damn mullet jumped over our head and I hear "Man down!" Laid out on the back deck, bud heavy in the air and a foot long welp clean across his chest.

Was fishing with two buddies one day and one guy sets his pole down to go take a piss. 30 seconds later a fish yanks the pole into the water. We were laughing our asses off at him, but he was almost in tears. Kept mumbling about his dad gave him that pole. So we laughed more

Definitely the boat launch on opening day of salmon season. All the rookies are out and the fights are fantastic.

Was at a houseboat in dulac and watched a few guys get offended by the confederate flag flying on an ol baw's boat. Words were exchanged and one of em went to jump in the boat to kick some arse and ended up slipping and busting his face all up on the side of the boat. I shot beer out of my nose. Ol billy ray was hollering to come get some more if they wanted some

Captain on a tuna trip told us about an unfortunate event. He was at a marina in Biloxi and was speaking to a guy about to launch his 42' fountain. Told him how his F450 engine blew on the ride so he had to get his buddy to come pull it the rest of the way, got the truck towed back home.
While at the launch, a man approached the guy with a bag with $10,000 in chips and asked if he'd take a few saintsations out to take pictures in bikinis.

Ol baw goes to put the fountain in the water and the whole back end goes under water. Finally gets the drivers attention and pulls it back out.

Needless to say, the boat wouldn't start, he missed out on $10,000 and had an nice chunk of change fixing his truck.

Galveston Yacht Basin boat ramp is very steep and deep for launching offshore boats. We were in the bait camp next to the launch when some sports show up with a big offshore boat. This boat is one of the big cc's on a triple axle trailer, has three huge outboards on the back, but they are pulling it with a Suburban or Expedtion, can't remember which. Well they back the boat in and it won't come off the trailer. Still strapped down. So the guy in the boat signals for the driver to pull out of the ramp. He starts pulling out, gets the boat about half way out and starts smoking the tires. Boat driver, apparently the owner of the rig, starts hollering STOP STOP!!! The driver looks panicked and lets off the gas but can't find the brake. That heavy arse boat got enough momentum on the roll back to launch itself and the vehicle which promptly sank at the ramp. Definitely a case of too much money and not enough sense!

My dad and I were trying to launch our jet skis last week at cross lake. I'm not real good at backing trailers up, especially a big dual jet ski trailer. I locked the keys in my S10 while blocking the ramp. My dad had a panic attack and I didn't have enough cash to pay pop a lock when he arrived 45 minutes later.

Six or seven years ago, fishing Lake Fork. Going out for evening/night trip in my buddy's older Champion. We are in a cove idling and roll over a stump, no biggie. Continue to back of cove following a channel when bilge starts pumping pretty good, I open the back hatch and see a lot of lake in the boat. I tell him we might want to turn around and head for the bank.

No, we can make it back to the landing. I said ain't happening about the time we have half the boat filled. We barely get the thing going but eventually it does, which it turns out is a bad thing. He heads for some timber with a slot to fit through to beach the boat. Unfortunately by this time, we are hauling arse and hit the beach pretty hard. Oh, and we stopped pretty quick too. About 2' of a 21' boat was in the water, and the new canal we dug with he prop was pretty impressive. We flagged a guy down that was kind enough to make a run to the landing so we could transfer gear. Took us 3 days to get that thing floated. By that time, anything and everything that had been part of the boat was not gone. Good times on Fork.

I have a couple cool moments.

Fishing grand isle in my dad's friends boat. We were running to another spot and when the guy stopped the boat a speckled trout jumped in. Keeper too!

Watched a crazy thunderstorm come through while surffishing grand isle. We rented one of the big camps behind bridge side so I decided to head back in cause the storm was coming. it got real cool and everything went calm. Next was the most intense lightning I've ever seen. I watched it from a 1/2 mile down the island making its way all the past elmers. Every 15 seconds was an intense lightning strike on the open water followed by the loudest bang from thunder. I saw sparks fly when lightning hit the rocks. After that came 30 MPH winds. Blowing everything down the beach. Then the moonsoon of rain. Never saw a storm develope, especially in stages like that.

While offshore I saw a whale shark. We were on a 24ft sea hunt and it was bigger than the boat. Really awesome sight.

Manatee in Slidell when I was in high school and it was the first time dad let me and my buddies take the boat by ourselves. We were all like wtf is that thing ,,pull the anchor and let's get the hell out of here. I poked it with my rod tip and it stuck it's head up and I knew what it was the other two guys with me were freaking out thinking it was about to eat us or something.
And
Also in high school a goose attacked a friend of mine while fishing from the bank at a lake. It was really funny because I had just tried to go fish that point and the goose ran me off. He told me "you gota show this thing who's boss" and he took off running at it and screaming with his arms up. It didn't back down it charged and attacked as he went down he swung his rod at it sticking a treble hook from the crank bait in the goose. The goose then flys off with his fishing pole to the other side of the lake. I never laughed so hard in my life. 15 years later we still use that saying you gota show this thing who's boss and laugh.

Frogging with my cousins on Blind River back in the day. Catching hammers all night and right as we are about to turn back to camp around 2am the battery dies on the boat. No problem...we hook up the back up, but that one is dead too. Turns out little cousin admits to taking out the charged back up battery days earlier and replacing it with a burn out. We then find out he has taken out both paddles and the push pole. At this point we are a mile down a dark little bayou, seeing red eyes in the water all night and getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Little cousin wraps up in a poncho and goes to sleep. Me and older strip down to drawers and take turns getting in the water, pulling the boat. Every time either of us would feel anything brush past our legs we were screaming for the other to pull us back in. Finally made it back to the river at 4am and still a few miles away from our camp so we tie to a cypress and go to sleep, only to be woken up an hour later by a boat heading back to the launch. We immediately jump up and start waving, half naked and covered in mud. Two drunk baws going home from Blind River bar tow us back to our camp making fun of us the whole way. Great memory looking back, but one of the stupidest, most miserable nights at the time. At least we had a ton of frogs to fry for lunch.

Was waiting to launch af sweetwater, about 10 boats in line. 2 black guys with a bass boat go to back down. They unhook the bow strap from the trailer and ol baw backs down. Doesn't get half way down the ramp before the boat slides off the trailer grinding down 15 feet of concrete before it stops. Laughed but felt bad for them. About 20 of us pick the boat up, bring it bsck on the trailer to assess the damage. Gel coat was screwed up but the boat was still fishable.

Another time when I was little, we were fishing offshore on my dad's boat. One of the guys with us fought in Vietnam and new enough words to understand anyone who spoke fluent Vietnamese. Well a radio channel we were on happened to be a conversation with several Vietnamese shrimp boat captains. The Vietnam vet gets on there talking shite, cursing them out. Ol baws start going crazy on the radio and my old man is on the floor dying with laughter. My cheeks hurt. Good times!
