I cut out the part where a guy says the mouth looks like a horse pussy figured ob'ers at work would likely get a call to hr if someone heard that

I watched the Prop Stop Ferry sink about 10 years ago from the balcony. Scary and funny at the same time when you realize there are 30 drunks going down in the middle of the river.

LOL I remember that! think we were up on the balcony too

That was it. The picture in your link of the people on the upper deck watching. That's the group that was on my boat in the front corner. Not saying who is who though. I will say that you can see my camo shorts behind those people.

september 1987 in the Med, it was a blue on blue kill. USN 1 USAF 0.

It was not a drone, it was a series of communications errors. I saw the air crew eject then saw them up close and personal - it was not a drone.

Somewhere out there is a heavily redacted audio of the sequence that led up to this. it did end with the RIO asking the pilot "WHAT THE FACK did you just do" as the sidewinder did it's work..... Followed by frantic "MAYDAY MAYDAY we just splashed a FOX 4"

DAMN. I've got to hear this.

And you win the thread i believe.

I guess this is it?

youtube

that was it..... the video and audio are pretty redacted... I could hear the ship talking to them and their squadron chatter.... are you in BR?

forgot about this and we were by the water not on the water. Visiting my in-laws on Pickwick Lake. Their house is on the river right off of Yellow creek.

I'm standing on the deck with my, at the time about 1yr old son. We can hear a helicopter coming but can't tell from where when to our right out of Yellow Creek maybe 30ft off the water a Apache or some other attack helicopter flies over the river and banks up and makes a hard left turn to head upstream toward the dam. He apparently sees us and turns around and stops maybe 30 yds off the bank and 20-30 ft over the water and waves at us. He dropped the nose at took off.

Was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I've seen some pretty entertaining things on the water. My new all time favorite at the moment is that guedo in the other thread trying to shovel sand away from his Range Rover tires.

It's been a few years ago but I was out with the wife and kids at the end of summer running the boat one last time before I winterized it and we were anchored in Panther cove, right across the main channel from yellow creek at Pickwick when I fighter jet came from the south towards the dam. Did a barrel roll right there above the islands at Dry Creek and hit the afterburners. My son who at the time couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen.
