re: Improved axe design? - OntarioTiger
F an axe, maul or wedges etc, I have that T shirt and it wore out long ago, I work smarter now – If I am going to split any reasonable amount of hardwood its a hydraulic splitter for me. I raise your dry pecan or oak w/ American elm that stuff is tenacious – amazing how a ¼” fiber can hold on ...

re: Gotta put my buddy down. How do people do this!?! - OntarioTiger
Man too many onions in this room .... Never easy and it shouldn’t be. My advice is take him in, be there through the process, scratch his hear (give him one for me) hold him while he fades away. Then cry your eyes out. A friend gave me dog heaven (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dog-hea...

When he was doing his aquaculture work he had a permit to remove herons etc from the ponds ... It wasn’t too hard...

re: Need OB advice on over/under shotgun choice - OntarioTiger
The one that fits you best and that you shoot well (if you can try them out). I have a browning 12 and a berreta 20 and the browning fits me a little better. Both are fine guns and will last a lifetime ...

re: What is the best method to combat motion sickness when deep sea fishing? - OntarioTiger
Non drowsy Dramamine or bonine ... patches work but some people have very bad reaction to it (its a hallucinogen – so try it in a controlled environment before you are on the water) ...

re: British vs American Labs - OntarioTiger
I have had 2 merican and 1 brit – I like the merican as they are a little more driven. Round the house they calm down but once you get into the field they can drive you nuts and need to show them who is boss. An e collar is required for training. One recommendation as others have said is get a do...

re: Lost paddle - OntarioTiger
Or when you forget a paddle an 1187 works reasonably well to paddle a pirogue .... The synthetic version is better choice than the wood stock Unless said $200 paddle is hidden in the marsh, after a week – he gone – and some coona** is trying to figure out how to paddle a pirogue with a double p...

re: Farthest You Have Been Offshore In Bay Boat - OntarioTiger
Deep is not an issue if the waters over your head it doesn’t matter if its 20 or 2000’ ft deep .... it over your head I know 2 guys that fell off sportfishers while having a pee off the back deck in the middle of the night. Both had to swim to a rig and were rescued by their boat when they were f...

re: One shotgun for waterfowl and upland bird hunting... - OntarioTiger
For <6K get 2 guns, an o/u for upland, clays etc then an auto for waterfowl. There are lots of duck hunts I wont take an OU on. Im not going to recommend a brand other than a B gun but find one that fits you and shoot it. If your a lefty benelliis only auto option for a true lefty, if you don't...

re: Guy kills muskie fish on video, may get in trouble - OntarioTiger
Musky have a sport fish mystique and its generally catch and release like billfish or tarpon. There are some real musky Nazis out there who only want C&R. They taste like northen pike which are ok when the water is cold but as but warms up they taste muddy. Some lakes its catch and release only or...

re: Pheasant hunting gauge? - OntarioTiger
IMO a 12 is better w/ flushing dogs as birds are a little farther out and a 20 is plenty w/ pointing hounds. If you are a blocker bring a 12. Have fun I hope to go next fall too...
