re: School me on best rain gear to wear while fishing? - OntarioTiger on 3/8/24 at 6:48 pm To be truly waterproof I like the strechy helly Hansen gear, bibs and jacket. Doesn't breath but sheds water. For breathable gear thats not as waterproof but you dont sweat as much i like gore tex. I have simms bibs and columbia shell that work for me... I'm to old for spearfishing now and live on great lakes, no spearfishing. I fish and hunt a lot still, my daughter fishes w me and son hunts. So passed it along. M... I can get a knife hair shaving sharp in a few minutes, especially with some bore paste on an old fine belt. Not sure why i need a kitchen fillet or hunting knife sharper than that.

re: First class in 1988 - OntarioTiger on 2/19/24 at 8:03 pm I flew 1st class to Tokyo in 1989 and it looked nothing like that. Was it good, oh ya, was in air 20 hrs. Dallas to narita, food looked nothing like that but was good. Booze was better, got drunk, sobered up and got half drunk again before japan :) never flown first class since... Now that i am up north and dont need nearly as much ice i use 1 gal buckets. No sense making it harder or more expensive than it has to be. ... Had a lab there. I have seen many many waterspouts, had one go over the platform we were working on, winds were a pita for 30 seconds, than it was over. ...
