In a way I'm glad I don't know for sure that she was shot.

Best dog I ever had was a Catahoula Cur. Most loyal, protective dog I ever had. Dark gray with black spots , one white eye the other half brown half white.
I know how you feel losing yours . Worse than finding one dead is taking one to the vet to put her down because of cancer.

Really sorry for your loss. I'm surprised you didn't find a wound. If she was killed, you might want to report it to the cops or game warden in your area. God help the loser getting caught doing this!
