sand the new rings with 320grit sandpaper. Stagger the end gaps on the rings. Use thick oil or assembly lube on wrist pin and a light coat of 2stroke oil on wristpin, rings, and cyl wall. Check piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance. If its to far out of spec bore. The rattling could have been timing chain but was most likely piston slap. Hondas will usually do this, if you sink them. You can register on mudinmyblood.com for like seven bucks and get almost any atv/utv manual. Or ...

it lets the starter freespin after cranking. most atvs without a bindex use them. Its bolted to the back of the flywheel, in the center of o gear. without it the starter would spin all the time after cranking engine. pretty common prob with the grizz and raptor, because they kickback so hard someti...

If you hear the starter spinning but engine isnt turning over, its the one way clutch/bearing. dont buy a factory one. do a little research and get a good one. ...
