Cracked me up my ex boss wanted to be able to call like me so he went and bought same call. Didn't sound right so he went and bought another, same lanyard with 2 identical calls that both still sounded like shite. Told him to stick with the golden calls, only way he'd be able to kill.

In the defense of face paint....
Peripheral vision is unobstructed as is with a mask, also mask + beard = misery.
The thing I hate is that it is now looked down upon even though some of us grew beards and painted our faces long before DD got popular. Nobody would raise an eyebrow to that shite back then, but now you're grouped in with the newbs even if you're a seasoned vet.

I hate a mask, causes me to fog up my camo Costas, so I still face paint. Except Sat, rained so hard I couldn't get the paint on, so I used mask.
Shite that cracks me up is they get out of truck at 4am with it already on, like they put make up on like a woman before they left th house.

this. still haven't seen a complete episode of DD. can't grow a beard to save my life. i use burnt wine cork sometimes just around my eyes and nose where the facemask doesn't cover.

What's happening with duck hunting right now is the same exact thing that happened with fly fishing in the early 90's with the movie "A River Runs Through It". From my expereince you have about a decade before shite returns to normal .

I know tons of people who started painting their faces because of DC, BC, or DD. I can't stand having that crap on my face. I don't wear anything to duck hunt, wear a mask to deer hunt if I'm not in a box. Never had an issue with it duck hunting, just keep my hat low and my face close I the front of the blind when they come in

I don't make my way here often, but when I do I laugh. Thankfully our land is free of the kind of losers this thread is about. I'm the “newest" hunter, and that's only because I was raised on it in the 90s.
Thays coo. Keep that tradition alive over there. We need every one of you that we can get over there. Im actually in talks with a duck call producer in your area about being sales rep in the South
