re: Termination dust has arrived - gorillacoco
Last week we had an unexpected cool front into the 60's at night. Fishing was awesome Friday morning, even a little on the cool side. Teal season less than two weeks away, dry weather cutting down on the mosquitos, LSU in 4 days... all you gotta do now is sit back and take look around you to appreci...

re: Cost to remove a tree? - gorillacoco
Depending on where it's at on your property, the parish might pay to have it removed.
Can you elaborate on this? I have a tree in my yard that I would like to remove, but I can't because it's hemmed in with power lines and I think it would be really costly to remove myself....

re: 90 Day Challenge - gorillacoco
He picked the absolute worst time to start this shite show. LSU starts in a week... :wtf: He at least is admitting it's a bad plan. I'm interested to see what he can get done tho. OP, how many days a week are you working out?...

re: hunting novice: need shotgun advice - gorillacoco
If you are just getting into it and want to be conservative to start, go with a Remington 870 or 1100. Both are tried and true gun makes that last a long time and get the job done. 1100 is a semi auto however where an 870 is a pump. If you knew a lot about what you were getting into you could pot...

re: Weekend Fishing Report - gorillacoco
I thought I set the hook enough
First of all, once you have the fish on, keep your rod tip down unless you're trying to pull him over or away from a log or weed bed. This will reduce the amount of jumping they do. If you're fishing with a worm, you really need to set the hook ha...

re: Paddle boarders on the Miss River. - gorillacoco
You do you realize if they tried to paddle upstream they'd just go backwards right?
Ever been in the river? There are plenty of places along the edges that have slack water (or even currents going upstream), and a strong paddler can easily make headway upstream if you're not trying...

re: Paddle boarders on the Miss River. - gorillacoco
if you fall in the MS River with a life jacket on, is that enough to save you from drowning? The currents and whirlpools are wicked.
 No the ms river will not just pull you under water. The main danger on the river is boat traffic and the wakes they throw capsizing smaller ve...

re: Best advice for someone about to get a divorce - gorillacoco
Lawyer up. Document everything. If you have a lot of cash consider storing it somewhere safe until you can split it equitably so she can't just spend it at will. Consider getting some cameras set up if she's crazy. Remember if you try to make her life miserable you will also make your own life miser...

Whats the farthest you're willing to travel for a single morning hunt or fish? - gorillacoco
I keep looking at the different lakes, NWRs and WMAs for new places to scout & hunt (or fish), and I'm looking at some that are longer range (2.5-3 hour drives). Currently my max travel time rule is basically a 2 hr drive and then maybe an hour to get in and get set up. Past that and it's pretty...
