re: Good two piece kayak paddle for under $100? - gorillacoco
Whatever you do, don't get the camo paddle at academy with the decoy line hooks on the paddle. Sure it's useful for grabbing dekes, but they cause waaaay more trouble than they're worth by accidentally snagging every stick and slimy weed in the swamp (or marsh)....

Can't say I'm feeling dove season in the air, but I'm damn sure starting to think about these tasty little bastards: ...

re: The failure of crossfit comes from the top - by one of the crossfit elites - gorillacoco
You never get gassed on any movement that way.
 You're in a lot better shape than I am. It's amazing how much more difficult it is to do pull ups (which in theory is anaerobic) after jogging a couple miles. Or vice versa....

re: The failure of crossfit comes from the top - by one of the crossfit elites - gorillacoco
if I can break my pull-ups/push-ups/squats into 20 rounds of 5/10/15
Okay I agree you can shorten it considerably if you can break them up. I assumed they had to be done in a single stretch each. I don't see myself breaking an hour unweighted though. Not that I'm competitively in sh...

re: The failure of crossfit comes from the top - by one of the crossfit elites - gorillacoco
How heavy of a vest? Looks like an awesome workout with bodyweight but yeah the length could get tedious. I'd figure an hour and a half to do a full and that's if you're good at pull ups....

re: how do you like your ice...Crushed or cubed? - gorillacoco
Crushed is better. It's actually nice when the crusher passes through some big chunks as well. Then you get instant cooldown, the option to chew some ice if you'd like, and some big chunks to keep the beverage cold for a while....

If the Cavs had won game 1 this year, do you think they win the Finals? - gorillacoco
Personally I think even if the Cavs win games 1-3, the GSW have a solid chance to pull off the comeback and win in 7. Still, history shows us that winning 4 in a row is nigh impossible. What do you think?...

re: OB's thoughts on lion killing situation in Africa? - gorillacoco
I never really understood the appeal of trophy safaris in Africa. I would much rather go on a "photography safari" and frame pics taken on the trip.
A lot of people feel the same way. They're just not willing to pony up 10K to take pictures. And the small amount of money they do c...
Approximately 600 lions are killed every year on trophy hunts... These hunts are unsustainable and put more pressure on the species.
How are they unsustainable if the lion pop is 30,000+?
including lions in populations that are already declining from other threats[/...

re: OB's thoughts on lion killing situation in Africa? - gorillacoco
Not so fast. That money went to some shady fricks who poached the preserve.
In this case, yes. But most big game hunts, a large part of the money is paid to licenses for killing specific species. All these internet crusaders don't pitch in any money. The studies are there to show ...
