re: Kayak fisherman drowning - gorillacoco
easily! Very, very, very few people are proficient at open water swimming. There are olympic swimmers that drown in open water. People drown all the time. It's very sad, but you don't have to be HAF, SAF, DAF or whatever for this type of thing to happen. shite happens sometimes. And quickly.[/...

re: Kayak fisherman drowning - gorillacoco
No way I'd get in anything like a yak without a PFD
I'm just curious, but do you fish with a lifejacket on? Almost 100% of fishermen that I know do not wear lifejackets when they are not running their outboards. I would argue that fishing from a kayak is really only slightly more d...

re: Settle a conversation about fishing licenses - gorillacoco
It pays itself off in about 5 years.
Maybe for hunting, yeah. But if you are only getting lifetime fishing, which is $300, you aren't making your money back for 12 years. I would agree it might be worth it just to avoid the hassle though....

re: What 1 food would you have no problem being on for life? - gorillacoco
ribeye. i dont care what it is though, i'd get tired of it after a few weeks. if i had to pick one animal i'd go with pork, because there are so many ways to cook it. one vegetable, i'd go with tomatoes. but one specific food item, i still say ribeye....

re: Would you rather have good hunting in your back yard or good fishing? - gorillacoco
It's awesome. Kid has shot multiple deer before school and made it in on time. I've killed them out of my house and shop. Have a sunflower/dove field every year and a brake that will stack up with woodies and gads a couple times a year. Not sure I can give it up, even though the other place i...

re: Secrets to a Great Jambalaya - gorillacoco
In my opinion, using raw sausage (in addition to smoked) is a huge flavor addition. Also, get your meat from a butcher (Benoit's in Addis is what I use, but there are others) rather than from Albertson's....

OT Workout Crew: Wood mounted pegs for holding plates - gorillacoco
I have a new house and I put my squat rack in the back shed, which has unfinished walls of tongue and groove planks on the outside and just the 2x4 framing exposed on the inside. Due to the limited room in the shed I would like to hang the plates on the wall, attached to the 2x4s somehow. Rogue ...

re: What deodorant/antiperspirant do you use? - gorillacoco
I don't use deodorant/antiperspirant. Apparently I am a weird alien person who does not smell like anything. Confirmed by several gfs and my now wife who is not afraid to tell me anything. The only exception is if I'm playing sports or working outside in the heat for a long time. But everybody st...

Spinoff: Dany and the Season 1 prophecy about her childbearing - gorillacoco
There was a prophesy in Season 1 about until the sun rises in the west and sets in the east and a whole bunch of other shite happen, that she will bear no more children.
This is going to sound really nerdy, but hear me out.
