re: Carcass disposal? LDWF video - gorillacoco
The trick is to put paper bags in between the plastic ones. I generally just do two paper bags and a single plastic, but if you really want to make it smell proof you gotta do paper, plastic, paper, and then plastic again with an overhand knot....

re: How should I pop the question? - gorillacoco
Unless she's expressed to you a specific place, do it somewhere or some way that has personal meaning to you and her, maybe in front of your first date spot. That or make a really nice weekend trip to NOLA and do it somewhere pretty on the second night. Avoid the cruise IMO....

re: Learning how to call ducks - gorillacoco
A big part of calling ducks is reading the ducks in the air. You need to learn to call at the right time as much as you need to learn to call with the right sound. A couple of tips: -Don't call when they're bearing down on you. They can pinpoint where the sounds are coming from and are very ...

re: What's a weird thing you like to do? - gorillacoco
I like to smell everyday stuff. Pick a leaf walking by? Gotta crush it and smell it. Incidentally I love the smell of pecan leaves. About to pour some coffee? Better sniff the pot to make sure it's good. Stack of papers fresh off the printer? Time to take a whiff....

re: Embattled Charlie Melancon says Gov. Edwards supports his red snapper strategy - gorillacoco
everything to do with the money on hand
I'm going to continue to call bull shite on this because it smells like a three day old bag of fish guts. The idea that we would not take the opportunity to reclaim a completely mismanaged fishery the moment we have the chance is laughable. An...

re: It’s good to be a Louisiana duck, duck hunter - Article quoting Larry Reynolds - gorillacoco
I pretty much have nowhere to go if not invited anymore.
I mean, I'm not trying to be contrary but there's a ton of public land to hunt in LA. You need to do some scouting to get started, but it's doable....

re: It’s good to be a Louisiana duck, duck hunter - Article quoting Larry Reynolds - gorillacoco
Another year of me not wasting money on a duck stamp.
Come on, man. He admitted that LA doesn't hold the numbers that it used to, but people kill lots of ducks every year, public and private. $25 is hardly a waste of money in return for the ducks....

Anyone in South Louisiana have an olive tree? Opinion? - gorillacoco
I'm looking at possibly planting an olive tree or two in the front yard. Personally I think they look cool, and I actually want to brine and eat the olives if it produces. From what I understand they will do fine with the temperatures in SELA but I'm concerned about them getting disease from the moi...
