re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
I'm not sure what the issue could be. But they are mass produced and I know they don't use the thickest aluminum like custom builders do. My buddies excel is only a fewmonths old. He's not real happy but this cat broke welds on a custom mud boat so who knows what he did ...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
My buddy has an excel 203 bay pro and his welds broke on the hull somwhere. He didn't tell me where but looks like some stringers busted. But like one just said it can happen. I have another friends who has had his excel bay pro for a year or so and is selling it soon for a fiberglass bay boat.....
Whodat rode with in one night from the pickets in some heavy seas, he knows the difference in the 20 and 22.
Yep and I was very surprised how how much better it rode and handled. But the 20' to 22' price difference is about 8-10k when adding extras and the bigger motor. Seapick...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
I think I'm sold on the xpress bay boat with larger engine and power pole(s).
as long as you don't plan on taking it out of the marsh..first trip to the islands you will want to sell it. also yes lots of welds breaking on them. ...

re: Xpress bay boats-worth the $$$$ - WHODAT514
I had a 20' h bay and used it for four years and sold it for what I paid for it. They hold their value for sure. Are they worth the money? That depends on what you want. A 20' is around 30k now with extras. My buddy paid 38k for. 22' I can't justify that kinda money on a big name mass produced a...

re: boat battery testing? - WHODAT514
plus other electronics connected to it
That's part of the problem. nothing besides the trolling motor should be hooked to the trolling batteries. all other electronics should be on a fuse block to the cranking battery or a house battery. Like others said if they are 3 years old...

re: G3 Bay Boats - WHODAT514
Why would you go from your xpress to the G3? IMO it's a step down. While they may have a better layout it's still going to ride horrible like the xpress do. What happened to going to a glass bay boat?...

re: New boat prices - WHODAT514
buying new isn't a bad thing if you can afford it and get it rigged how you want. Best thing I can tell you is shop out of state. Louisiana has the highest boat prices around. I bought a xpress 20' bay in 2011 for 24k brand new. I sold it for the same price 4 years later rigged out with more stu...

I had a set on my old f150 and I liked them a lot. I had 30k on them and they were about half worn. I will go with toyos more then likely next time. like pogey said they have a little road noise and mine rode rough but any e rated tire will. ...
