re: Audi have successfully made diesel fuel from carbon dioxide and water - CFDoc
Yeah, step 2 is not getting near the attention it deserves. But 'grats on the free diesel plus energy required to split water molecules using electricity, which is more than likely being provided by burning fossil fuels....

re: Spinoff thread- OT Math/Science guys, most difficult problem you've solved? - CFDoc
Your 'joke' is perceived the truth far more than it is humor. Plus, try being funny next time you make a joke. Might help your cause....

re: Spinoff thread- OT Math/Science guys, most difficult problem you've solved? - CFDoc
This is the OT
True, but don't kid yourself into thinking there's not a ton of money out there for those that can solve complex math equations. My field is turbulent Navier-Stokes. None of us are broke. Hell, Clay Institute will write you a check for 1 million bucks, cash, if ...

re: Spinoff thread- OT Math/Science guys, most difficult problem you've solved? - CFDoc
Not much, as soon as they started getting difficult I changed my focus to learning how to use social skills coupled with simple math to manipulate finance and increase my net worth exponentially faster than the nerds trying to solve complex equations from engineering textbooks.
Wha...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - CFDoc
The housing market in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, etc. is doing pretty well right now. We sold our house for $17k more than what we paid. Bought the house in September 2012, sold it in February 2015. Renting is really really high around those parts right now. Places to eat: Kyle's...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - CFDoc
How is Huntersville? .
Definitely not a party town. Lots of young couples with kids 5 and under. Not the best place to parrr-taay. Does have crafty beers though. Huntersville has affordable housing except for Vermillion (no clue why but houses are crazy high in there). I live...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - CFDoc
Lived in Charlotte (actually Huntersville) for a while. Just moved two months ago. Where are you looking? City? outskirts? North? South? If you're not looking for big city and can manage heading south, it's much cheaper to live across the border in South Carolina and Lake Wylie, Rock Hill, etc...

re: First Job Salary Negotiation. - CFDoc
I assumed I had no reason to negotiate either, but upon further research it seems most companies expect it so they originally offer low as shite expecting negotiation.
Absolutely true. I just went through this. Worked for company A. Company B said they would beat current compan...
It blows my mind that someone gets a great education that is in demand throughout the entire world, then decided to stay in one city.
This. I left BR for the east coast. Moved around the east coast for a while. Worked with a lot of companies located in the northeast. Learned...

re: Wrecked Brand New Truck (Insurance Question) - CFDoc
I've done two diminished value claims for vehicles in accidents (both not my fault). Both times they sent me a check but you will have to haggle to get the money. Also, both times the DV claim was settled after the vehicle was repaired (I think this is standard practice). You will have to reme...

re: What are the biggest/most popular pyramid scheme products right now? - CFDoc
The Advocare thing is hot right now. A neighbor of ours (who I've met about twice) out of the blue one day sends my wife this Facebook write-up about how much weight she's lost and how great Advocare is. Included with the post was about 8 pictures of this chick in her underwear. These were cl...
