Weak, very little knock down power, 7mm Mag is ashamed of its little bitch arse cousin. Far inferior to the GOAT .280 and my second choice, .308. WEAR YOUR HUNTER ORANGE guys, and hunt safe!

Neither, haven't been impressed for a year now. Mainly wanted to get people's attention so they would see the PSA about HUNTER ORANGE. Most important piece of hunting equipment you can own!

7mm-08 very similar to .308 ballistics , superior to a 7x57 Mauser that African hunter killed 1000 elephants with but somehow it's not big enough for a white tail?

I have two x bolt 7mm08 and have never had a deer not drop withing 25 yards of the impact. Most drop on the spot.
I dropped my 141" 11 point with the 08 while a guy with us hit a 12 and a 10 with a 7mm mag and we never found the deer dead and this was on high fence.

People, this is the dude that got shot in the neck by his buddy using the 7mm-08. Just a wild guess, I'm assuming this is the anniversary?
Either way, he is under the assumption that it has no knock down power due to his buddy being a shitty shot. Had better shot placement been made, he wouldn't be starting this thread

That's true. That guy sucked. I'm just making the point that any gun can have deer walk off. Most of the time it's not the bullet

My daughter has shot 4 rounds thru hers, 3 went into circle on target, 4th into a spike that ran maybe 35 yards and left a crimson trail 3"-4" wide. She's going to shoot another tomorrow morning, I'll let you know how it turns out.
