So basically as long as I don't buy Al rounds any 280 bullet should chamber?

Absolutely. The ONLY reason that round doesn't fit is because it is an AI. I think I've shot every brand made in my "7mm Express" at one time or another. I like having it cause I get to mess with people when they ask what kind of gun I have. 
Most people have heard of .280, but not a lot know the history of it as it relates to the 7mm Express.

next new gun I buy myself for hubting will be a 280. I'm sold on it. Glad to know a little more about it

It's all I've used the past 15-20 years or so. It's a great round.
