They are fricking terrible.

I hit one on the way into my subdivision a few weeks back but the damn thing popped out from behind and flew off.

I take the approach to always keep moving in my vehicle to attempt to instill a sense of fear in them to get out the road. The ahole neighbor who constantly feeds them does not feel the same.

so you shot a bunch of tame resident geese?

Does this offend your delicate sensibilities? I didn't present this as some Grand achievement of my hunting abilities. Hell I even called it a "goose shoot."

The resident goose season is in place as a population control for non-migratory birds in Metro areas.

You killed a family of banded geese in a parking lot?

I think 3 got away, unfortunately. But yeah, pretty much.

heck, i almost shot a hog off the side of hwy 61 yesterday in east feliciana. big boar was 10' off the side of the road, in daylight. only reason i didn't was he hauled butt when he saw me back up down the shoulder of the road.

Yesterday this lady had five lanes of traffic stopped trying to usher a herd of them across from a strip mall to a cemetery. I finally got out behind her and ran up to them screaming. So, they flew across the road.

I looked at her and said: They have wings, you know? And got back into my truck.

People are retarded.

They're mean old birds. One nearly attacked me at a little park near our house a few years ago. We were walking past the pond to the playground so the kid could play. Damn thing charged at me. I kicked him in the head and he scurried off. Probably gave him some Goose CTE.

If I would have been in that parking lot, you would have had to shoot me to keep from giving you the biggest arse beating I've ever given.

If you cook them down, then they're not bad. Cubed in a chili would be a good way to cook them. I breasted them out and also saved the legs, heart and gizzard. The gizzard is about the size of my fist. It's humongous.

I've steamed em then sizzled em in a little olive oil. They're really not as bad to eat as folks say.

Nice work baw. Can't take Louisiana out the man. Slaying the squirrels and geese that must have thought they were untouchable.

When I moved to CO, we were shooting rabbits with Benjamins in subdivisions and hunted the south platte right outside Denver which had a nice bike path.

I wonder if they ever migrated?

All the talk about their taste, what's their diet? The handful of Canadians we got up there were good but might have been more "wild".
