Sounds like you just invite a bunch of people over for a crawfish boil, they boil them and clean up while you drink beer and bullshite. I like it.

There is an article in this months In-Fisherman magazine that is called something like " the best bait you will ever eat" the directions tell you to boil the crawfish for 15 minutes and serve them when they are bright red

My dad has been boiling with natural gas for twenty years. I have been using it for five years. The ticket is to have a holding tank. Natural gas only comes out 6-8 ounces of pressure at a time. Our burners have a six inch pipe cut 5" long. It has plate welded on the top and bottom. There are five 1/32" holes drilled in the top plate where the gas escapes. I don't remember exactly how high the tank is from the bottom of the pot, but that is important too. The only negative about the gas is it will turn the bottom of your pot black with soot.

That's pretty scientific. You're going to end up eating some flavorless crawfish jerky, though.

They make natural gas burners that'll get it up to boil quick enough. They just skirt around the pressure problem by increasing flow. Or something like that.

Adding the fins will definitely increase the heat transferred, but sitting it on a burner looks odd, hence the special burner to go with it.

Is it loud? I'd rather talk than make good crawfish.

Are you planning to buy one of their burners, as well? That's the only part I'm skeptical of.

about like a regular jet, just you will only have to run it for half the time

don't try and use it with a 5 gallon tank either

They actually sell specialty burners for natural gas. They are pretty expensive though. Sugarland Hardware has some, I think they are around $200.00

BTW - PP representing..!!!

Takes the same amount of time as propane. It's a lot quieter though

That is badass. Saw one used the other day. It had two 10lb tanks spliced together and hooked too it. One was completely empty when he finished. Doesnt mean much since I dont know if it was full when he started but the fact that he brought both tanks camping is a sign it sucks them down pretty fast.
