At Supreme in Hammond. It is fineeee

I have an 08 I bought at Supreme that is a good truck and I love it BUT I will never do business with Supreme again. A couple of years ago I went to their parts department to see about getting a sat radio upgrade. Parts guy sent me to service. Service guy started writting up a ticket. I asked why. THIS NO JOKE--he said he had to take the radio out to get the model number to quote me price on the upgrade.

I left promptly. The model number is written on the front of the radio. He must of thought I fell off a turnip truck.

Shysters in service and parts to me mean shysters from top to bottom.

I called Toyota and told them I was back to Ford after this truck if Supreme was still the dealers. Of course they don't care about one customer.

The truck is very good but I am afraid to even take my recalls back to Supreme.

I'd like to see the payload requirements. They probably just put scales on the front and back tires and see how much the weight shifts and unloads the front tires. I know for a fact that I had more than 4000 pounds in the bed of my truck and it still drove alright. Not perfect, but not bad either. It's only supposed to have 3k pounds in the bed

New trucks can really haul a lot more. Hell, they have bigger equipment than 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from 10 years ago. Only thing different is the frames and axles

h...not really. Maybe vs. the 5.3 Chevy, but the GM 6.2 and Ecoboost blow it out of the water.

I like the fact you link pretty much a ford fanboy site for your numbers. Lol.
They also are at altitude where the turbo on the ecoboost will have the greatest advantages.

My buddy just got an ecoboost 4x4 lariat and he pulls a cargo trailor. He will be the first to tell you the ecoboost has shite on the tundra. His gas mileage goes to shite while pulling and its always searching for a gear

As far as the 6.2 chevy motor, if its any thing like the 6.0, what a joke.

I moved from gmc to Nissan to toyota.

Hell, real world driving and pulling I would take the titan over the Chevrolet engines. For being unchanged so long, that engine performs better than most.

Apples to apples and taking all the bullshite numbers that the big three throw out every other year with outlandish claims, take the body off the frames of the trucks and put them side by side.

Nearly everyone will take the tundra frame and undercarriage if chosing on that alone.

The rear differential to suspension to brake calipers and transmission, the tundra is heavier built than all where it matters

Take all that shite I just posted as opinion. Lol

Nice truck. I have a crewmax silver 5.7 louisiana edition tundra and I love it.

I don't care what numbers other companies put on their trucks, the tundra is better equipped to handle weight and pull cargo.
From the rear end to the trans cooler. It is also the only truck that CERTIFIES its towing numbers

Toyota is one of the first manufacturers to test and certify its trucks against a draft trailer-towing standard known as “Performance Requirements for Determining Tow Vehicle Gross Combination Weight Ratings and Trailer Weight Ratings,” or simply Society of Automotive Engineers standard J2807.

Look it up. Every number toyota puts out on towing and payload is certified. No other truck manufacturer has done this or will do this

Been looking at this one pretty hard. I don't like the way they look when they aren't lifted, and I need a regular-sized crew cab so I can still fit my toolbox in it. Can't get the mf'er to email me back though, and it is all of the way in Boston

Da frick? How is it a Ford fanboy site if they compared all 3 trucks as evenly as possible? It's one of the least biased tests I've seen for half tons...and if the altitude helped the turbos so much, then why did the Ram, which has a naturally aspirated 5.7l V8 just like the Tundra, come in just a few tenths behind the Ford and a good bit ahead of the Tundra?

This is where you lose a lot of credibility. GM's 6.2 and 6.0 are two of the best V8's ever available in a truck.

The VK56 is a great motor, but that's the only thing I'd take out of a Titan. The rest of the truck is weak...I'd also still prefer a 6.2 GM motor over a VK56.

I did.

Well man, this is like, your opinion .

That statement you made is totally subjective and all opinion

They are also the least sold gm motors of the available engines

because it only comes in 3/4 and 1ton trucks.

The 6.0 and 6.2 are some of the best engines made. that sa id torque managment and transmissions suck.

Quick Hijack--LASM is about to undergo a drastic format change.I'm on a development team that is working to make it the great sportsman site it once was.
I think y'all will like the new format.I'm trying very hard to get those guys to agree to profanity and personal attacks.

Wrong again. It's amazing the amount of misinformation you read on truck topics

probably not but we're not going to ban them if they do want to come visit. There will more than likely be an OT'esq forum there. Also,Hunting,Inshore fishing,Offshore fishing ,ETC. will be sub categorized so you don't have to wade through a bunch of stuff you have no interest in.

The 6.0 in a chevy 3/4 ton is relatively unchanged in that last several years. Its proven to be a solid towing platform for those not wanting or needing a diesel.I dont know much about the 6.2 other than it was in the sportier trucks and an aluminum block.
