I have the 5.7L. Gas mileage isn't too bad.

That's what I'm saying. I don't get the bad wrap they get for MPG. It's a rock solid powertrain that they haven't changed in 8 years BECAUSE IT IS A ROCK SOLID POWERTRAIN. Obviously there are some changes coming to keep up with the market and meet standards, but for what they are, they get good mileage. Slap a 4:30 in one of these other trucks and see what happens

I get 15-17 in town and about 20 on the road in my '06 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so the 5.7 wouldn't be a huge drop from what I'm getting now, but if I could get the 4.6 and stay about the same in fuel economy, that would be nice as well.

They have their own version of what everyone else has for electronics. eTune, nav, etc. the new interiors are a major step up from the one I have

4.6 is an inferior motor IMO. Get the 5.7, you'll never wish you had the 4.6.

Interior lacks. Layout of console and shifter is ok, buttons on door for window and locks are not backlit, as is very little. Best AC and Heater I have ever had. Stock radio without upgrade blows. Hands free feature is better than Ford ever dreamed of.

Leather quality is about average, back seat is huge in crewmax.

I have the Ford Mytouch system, and with the Iphone 4 handsfree is OK at best. But with an Iphone 5 it is Badass!! I have had both phones and hated hands free with the 4, now that I have the 5 I love it!!

Interior is great. Quality backup camera, hands free everything, text messaging on your display and she'll read it to you while driving or you can read it while stopped, illumination is great and easy on the eyes, two 12v chargers, 1 usb and one aux port up front.

I have the captains seats up front and the way the center console hits is just perfect, well designed, but I imagine this could be different based on your size. I love the console shifter, lots of cupholders. I find there are not many areas where "crap gets accumulated". Seems almost all spaces around the console and shifter have a definitive use.

Has a nice grip spot on dash above radio for cell phone, sunglasses, etc.

I find the touchscreen is nice and the way it all works is cool. It has three panels, one for phone, one for weather and one for music. You can change it to two.

I can't really speak on tigerfoot's comments about backlit. He has a 2011 he said, but I've never noticed what may not be backlit, seems like everything is. I've yet to find myself looking for a switch because I always know where windows and door locks are so I don't have to look for them at night, they're right where they're supposed to be.

And of course, the crew max has the rear roll down window(no one else has it) which is a great feature and used often by me when the weather is nice.

I'm trying to be biased, I'm truly trying to think of something that I don't like and I can't think of it, but I've only had the truck a month.

what u want to know?
just traded mine in at 99,500 miles and it was never in the shop except for that stupid floor mat recall which was BS, anyway.
BTW, it was still like brand new, no issues whatsoever in that time. I've had 7 Yotas, just got another one.
Mine got 18.5 on the road, mega cab, 4 wd, slightly oversized tires..
I'm stickin' with what I bleeeeve in..

I had a 2011 Tundra Platinum. Drove it for 2.5yrs and had 29,500 miles on it and sold it for 5k less than what I paid for it.

Bought a 2012 Sequoia and love it as well.

One other bonus. You can land an airplane on the console. It is very large and deep, therefore you have enough room to mount a gun safe inside it for those instances where you can't carry. They actually sell a safe specifically for this.

That may be it, when I had a Ford, I had a 3.

Oh, the full rear glass going down feature is the tits. And on the backlit piece, I have the SR5 with a few add ons, so maybe you don't have to feel your way around on a Limited or Plat.

I did put a level kit on mine, I think it looks much better lifted in the front.

Of course since I replied to this post, I got some strange noise coming from my seat when I brake.

I got to quit replying to threads, I replied to the thief one...I get broke into. I claim a Tundra is bulletproof, and something breaks. I gotta tithe or something.

I will buy another one. Also, I think it has the best highway ride of any truck I have owned. I have owned Fords, Chevy Tahoes, and Suburbans. The new Suburban has almost as nice of a ride and may be a touch quieter...to compare.

The Tahoe and Suburban should have a nicer ride since they a have coil sprung solid rear axle.
