You're more likely to contract something at a movie theater than a hospital.

And if you have ever touched the siderails on a flight of stairs or escalator in a public place...think of how many people touch that side rail.

Shoooo, my lady is a OB and wears scrubs to eat dinner. She washes hands before seeing patients, but I wonder if she does after the last one. I really wonder when we eat a buffet.

I can look professional in pajamas essentially and others must wear a shirt and tie and slacks. Sorry.

Lunch before shift and dinner with family after? I am wearing scrubs. IDGAF. Now when I worked ER and the day was especially "trollish"? I will go home and change.

You should be more worried about Leroy over there who just changed his colostomy bag before hitting up the chocolate wonderfall. Gives it a whole new meaning.

most people who wear scrubs out in public are not doctors. they hope to be mistaken as such though. the only time i wear my scrubs somewhere is if i stop at the store on the way home from the hospital

If your sitting down at a restaurant and are wearing scrubs you obviously have no respect for yourself.

Nope. It's cause I don't give a single frick. And don't get mad when I get seated before you either.

Really? I see it a lot, but I have an office in an academic hospital, so that may be the reason.

There was one time I got off work when I was a med assistant and stopped at a truck stop on my way south to get shitty for the weekend. Bought 2 tall boys a pack of cigs and a can of dip. I pay and turn to leave and this little boy sees me in my scrubs and says "Hey doctor!" As I'm holding a brown paper bagged can in each hand, cigs and dip between my fingers. The mom just stared at me. I was like yeaaaa this has to be setting some sort of bad example for the kid

Turds. In the literal and figurative. Scabies. If a scent from work is still is trapped in my nose. Cut the clothes off a homeless dude? I can go on.

I much prefer to be an incognito Dr. It's so much more fun knowing you're better than everybody else when folks just think you're an average Joe
