I don't know how people can possibly deny that being white has its privileges.

Please explain what they are...because the OP comic failed at that.

There is some in the form of being able to escape potentially negative stereotypes in your first impressions.....but that is about it.

And that is minor of an impact compared to how you personally present yourself.

The OP comic is arguing that white privilege is this:

The fact that I have a good job, a degree, and am not in jail isn't a product of the work, effort, and choices I put into life, it isn't a product of the sacrifices I made in the short term to improve my long term prospects.....no, the primary reason I have them is because I am white.

And that is a racist mentality and bullshite.

Black privilege is the privilege to try to make white people feel guilty about being born white and being able to have pride in your race without being racist.

Can someone explain to me how 44-50% in the text magically transformed into 88% in the graphical representation? Am I missing something?

Yes likelihood of going to prison and actual percentage of prison population (2010) aren't the same thing...

If you want to get into graduate school, it's much harder for you to get in if you're a white male. If you're a Hispanic transsexual with a physical disability, you could draw a middle finger on the application with dogshit and get into Harvard.

Not True in the slightwst bit.

These professional schools would be filled with minorities if that were the case

Well you have to define it by the percentage of people admitted of those who applied of that same type

I'm not white but this shite pisses me off. Of course, the MAJORITY will be privileged. This is how it is everywhere. There's black privilege in Africa, Asian privilege in Asia, etc. Getting angry because the majority has it little easier than the minority is freaking retar

I get what youre saying and uou have a point.

What people are made about is the gross inequalities in regards to equal and fair treatment. Some groups feel like theyve been view upon as sub human since they were brought here, and that those sentiments linger today in their treatment, socially and economically

It does. I don't think trying to shame white people is the way to fix it, but then I don't really know how to fix it outside of just trying to be a decent person myself and treat everyone how they individually deserve.

That "pride" comes from a place where people were constantly (and still are) animals, Mongrels, sub-human, 3/5th of a man, unworthy of citizenship, etc.

What do you expect a group of people to do? Fall in line with the evil and unhumans view points people had of them? At some point you have to love yourself if no one else is going to.
