Here comes the part where people start playing "dumb" .. then drop brag posts .. You "never" thought below 800 was special, but have the credit karma app on your phone .. :cast:

2 years ago I had a 640ish. I got the credit karma app to help me out. I also got lifelock.

If you think 760 is me bragging, you're incorrect. However, I'm happy with my score compared to where it was.

Sorry for thinking that 760 wasn't that good? Seriously, a 760 equates to a B in a class.

Would you consider someone with a 3.0 bragging?

Ok here goes... 5 years ago we move from Texas to Il.. Getting a mortgage. My credit score was 715. I had no idea why or how. Now 5 years later it's 821 (latest) but it has fluctuated between 790-830. I have no idea how they score that crap. Really an insignificant #.

The one the bank gave me when I bought property a couple months ago.

Mine was actually lower. I have credit tracker with transunion through my cap one credit card is updated monthly, and I just did a refinance which obviously does a hard credit pull from all agencies. The hard pull was about 50 points higher than what transunion was reporting.

Same with my Lifelock score. Recently co-signed a loan for my 19 year old to get a new boat motor for his bass boat and when we went in to sign the credit union had my score 40 points higher and at an A rating. They all look at the same things but rate a little differently I guess.

They are all different .. Most people seem to find the highest of the 8 scores and quote that as their FICO score ...

We just bought a car, mine was 825. However I apparently had a false foundation due to the fact I only had two open credit cards in my name

These numbers everybody throws out really have no meaning. I read somewhere that there are like 49 different credit scores. Numbers can vary widely.

This.

Can I get the absolute lowest possible interest rate?
Then I don't care about the rest of this foolishness.

At some point, your score makes "0" difference in what a lender will do anyway.

Too low, no loan.

760+ probably isn't going to get any better rate than 850.
