Yep. It's different now. Salaries were inflated then due to a temporary shortage. Now there is a glut and it's dropping a bit and graduates aren't getting their jobs as easily.

Pharmacists require 7-8 years of college and graduate with a doctoral degree so I feel >$100,000 is appropriate. We do more than just "count pills."

Yeah, I've never understood those posts. 42k or whatever is substantially more than whatever shite job he'd likely have in college, if he had one at all.

Honestly curious....what else do they doM I realize we can't have just anyone slinging pills, but where does a pharmacist start and a doctor stop. What does a pharmacist do above and beyond filling a bottle with what a doctor says to. Not saying that to be an asset. Genuinely curious. If it was that simple, I'd drop Mt job right now and go be a pharmacist. I'd take 6 figures to count pills.

I would think that hospital based pharmacists who are much more into being a part of the team as consultants and are responsible for TPN, chemo, etc are at the higher end as opposed to chain drugstore pharmacists who don't compound.

m
My friend is a pharmacist and compounds chemo
Also, regular pharmacists consult with physicians about contraindications of meds and chronic issues, along with other issues with meds.
