re: Educate me on shaving, men of the OTB - The Spleen
If you want to get a really good shave, and save a bunch of money on razors and blades, this is what you need... But there's a learning curve on using them. ...

re: A Time to Kill (1996) - The Spleen
I enjoyed the book when I first read it in high school, but I don't think it aged well.
Yeah, I haven't read it since I first read it in college around 92 or 93. I'd probably hate it now like I have every Grisham book I've read, or re-read, over the last 10-15 years. I don't want...

re: WOWYHI - new wave of B-list female country singers - The Spleen
Would I be forced to listen to their music first?
Clare Dunn played at the fair here a year or two ago, and she actually wasn't that bad. She did a couple of Led Zeppelin covers. She definitely had a more rock sound to her than country. ...

re: Something is fundamentally wrong with american democracy when someone - The Spleen
Her district was just re-drawn and it lost a good number of black voters so I don't think this year's election will be as big of a runaway for her. If she's even able to run. ...

re: A Time to Kill (1996) - The Spleen
Yeah, I'm not sure I've seen it since it was in the theaters, but I do recall the accents and acting were so over the top it was hard to take it seriously. I recall some liberties taken with the book as well that I didn't like, but I can't remember what now. ...

re: Trump vs Clinton- Failure of the Two Party System? - The Spleen
2 party system is fine. Voter apathy is a bigger problem. I haven't looked at numbers, but I'd venture a guess that barely 50% of registered voters vote in the primaries. I know my polling place was pretty empty on my lunch hour when I went. Assuming 50% of that 50% went to each party, you have 25% ...

re: 15 Years Ago- Widespread Panic absolutely destroyed Oak Mountain - The Spleen
I got banned from there for "scalping" tickets to those return shows at the Fox 10 or so years ago. I didn't even have tickets and was just fricking around, but it pissed a bunch of people off I guess. I still like Kyle though. He's good people. It was the girl moderator that banned me I think...

All for school uniforms. I wish my kids' schools had them, but I live in suburban keep up with the Joneses land where how your kid dresses says a lot about you as a parent. ...

re: 15 Years Ago- Widespread Panic absolutely destroyed Oak Mountain - The Spleen
I'm sure we crossed paths. I was at the Super 8 and Comfort Inn pools a few different times over the weekend. Buddy of mine had a tank at the Super 8 pool at 2 in the afternoon that Sunday. Seems I knew folks staying at every hotel in the area that weekend and just bounced around from hotel to hotel...

re: Obama may be the best campaigner of all time - The Spleen
The reason he won in 2012" had nothing to do with his capabilities as a campaigner/speaker.
The reason he won in 2012 is because his campaign portrayed Romney as a rich, out of touch, guy, and Romney proved it for them with his 47% comment. ...

re: Why did Hillary even have a private email server? - The Spleen
What other high govt. officials never used govt. serves?
Lots of them don't. Jason Chaffetz, one of the guys questioning Comey on his investigation into Hillary's email, has a Gmail address on his business card. It's very common. Hillary's situation is only different because...

re: HRC Speech Tonight - The Spleen
I doubt she'll attack Trump too much. A few lines here or there. Obama, Biden, Kaine, Warren, and Bill did that for her. She's not a great public speaker, so the content will have to be really good. I think it will focus on who she is as a mother, wife, advocate for the less fortunate, and how s...
