A few of us went to visit a buddy at Univ of Texas. After a night of boozing on 6th street, we decided to walk back to his house near campus. We took a right instead of a left off of 6th and ended up at Lady Bird Lake and didn't realize it til we almost fell in. We ended up going from 6th to before 1st and doubling back all the way to 38th. To this day, I don't know why we just didn't get in a cab.

I remember as a boy scout doing some hikes through National Parks that were brutal.

I worked the Super Bowl Fan Experience in NOLA a few years back which was held in the Convention Center. I had to walk to and from Hall A to the La Nouvelle Ballroom (about 1/2 the convention center) to grab volunteers throughout the day. The one day I turned on my pedometer I had walked 15 miles total for the day. I did that for 4 straight days, 15 hour shifts each day. Never been sooo horribly chaffed in my life. Worst of all was the day my buddy whom I was staying with was up at Frenchman Street with his house key I needed haha I walked there and back to my car by the convention center, on top of my daily total. I lost 8 pounds that week as a result of the walking, lack of sleep/eating, and constant caffeine.

Not much.
I walked from ZeeZee's to the corner of Highland and Lee. Google Maps says 2.8 miles.
Took a long time.

I always hated walking, I can run/ jog no prob, but walking long distances hurts for some reason.
Caught a blow out in high school, bottle jack that came with my truck couldnt get in the right spot because it was too tall. No cell phone, but a buddys house was about 8 miles away. So I locked the truck and took off at a jog. He drove me back with a floor jack.
Back in the day, I ran CC and track, longest training run I think was 17 miles give or take.

I once walked a mile in another man's shoes. I learned a lot.
I did that and kept his shoes. He was a mile away, what was he going to do about it?

My son(4 at the time) got a blister at the start of the hike and I had to carry him up. Those stairs at the end were killer
Yeah, I don't think that would be that fun.
This was our 3rd Anniversary and before our kids were born. But I have carried my 6 year old all around many events. Thankfully she's pretty light, like 40 lbs, and knows how to piggy-back ride and hold onto my shoulders and help me out.
