I've drivem more than a few and are one of my favorite "practical" vehicles.

As much as I like them, I'd have a hard time buying a 6x6 G unless I basically had unlimited money. This is assuming I had millions, not OT poor like I actually am.

To each his own. I think Range Rovers look awesome (not so much the sports), but I would never spend that much money on something I know is a piece of garbage and will break down on me.

What makes the Land Cruiser so special that it would be priced like a luxury brand? I get that it is iconic, but the latest design is pretty ugly.

I don't recall ever riding in one. For anyone that has, what is the appeal?

the appeal is that it is Land Cruiser and foreigners really like them, I've always noticed that the middle easterners like them a lot

since it a over rated/priced ugly SUV, King Ranch should be all over and have the skinny on the details

I don't see the point in getting an $80k toyota when you can get the Lexus version for $83k.

I'm going to have to share that one with my wife. She already jokes that she looks like a stereotypical stay at home soccer mom in her big SUV. This is a spin that I think will make her laugh.

Id buy a new one and would never have one out of warranty without RoadSide Assistance.

I must say Ive never seen one on the side of the road broken down. Hardly empirical evidence but the way you hear it they should be littering the roadside.

Just my opinion, but if she's shopping those, have her tale a look at the big Lexus.

I think she'll like how the Lexus drives over the big MB.

For what they are, nobody can touch them. Of course thats just like my opinion.

This is a weird statement. The lexus land cruiser (LX 570) can touch RR. In fact, the LX touches the RR right in the butt.

I was tlaking with a buddy on Saturday night and he could not talk bad enough about his wife's $100K RR. this dude has had LCs in the past and was lamenting the fact that he even considered a RR.

Supercharged v6 is 65K and I think the Supercharged v8 is around 75k.

No doubt, but she'll ulrimately go back to thinking it'll be like the LC she had. She was looking at the Infiniti qx80 too. I just really like the Gs, and they do ride surprisingly well for having a solid front axle.

If I had to bet, she'll probably get another suburban tho.

I'm really not one to put a lot of stock in anecdotal evidence, but with RR it really is overwhelming.

I'd pass on 'em for awhile.

I don't think it's just anecdotal, look at the JD Power ranking on reliability. They are dead last by a huge margin. But they sell every car they make, every year for full list price. Its remarkable.

Lotssssssssssss of shallow, superficial people in this world.

I too think they look awesome and I guess if I had millions, I might consider it just because of that. But I'd have to be a super rich person. Otherwise, I see vehicles as a depreciating asset who's depreciation rate and maintenance costs are HIGHLY important.

Never driven the actual Land Cruiser, but have driven the Lexus and have driven a RR sport. Different vehicles.

The RR was probably one of the most fun vehicles I've driven. It did things I'd never expect and SUV to be able to do. I used to want one so bad. But the person I knew who had one would sold it due to reliability issues. 75k vehicle was only worth 20k after 4 years. I'll stay away from that.

I commute 78 miles each way for work, and I've seen two in the last month on the side of i10. One of them was a current body style one to boot. I would never own one unless I had several other vehicles at my disposal. They have their reputation for a reason.

Mom has had 3 sports in the last 10 years, zero issues other routine maintenance. Switched to a diesel cayenne and loves it. I prefer the interior of the rr though
