I liked the one I had when I remodeled our bathroom. I got one that was 6 feet long, so you could practically lay down in it. I also bought the in-line heater. It was used pretty frequently.

I have had the jacuzzi style tub before and never used it. Also, it became gross after a while.
Currently just have a large bathtub with no jets, and use it quite often

putting them in both bathrooms upstairs during the remodel. I got one up and going. A nice bath feels better than a shower IMO. But I am sure it will wear off. I did have 3/4 water lines ran to it so it would fill faster (rather than 1/2" ) and have a heater for each tub.

We had one in our townhouse. It was 6 feet long so big enough for my wife and I to get in together. I rarely used it but she takes baths almost every night just to relax so ours never got moldy or dirty. About once a week she would fill it with only hot water and run the jets with a couple cups of bleach. You don't have to fill it all the way to clean the jets, just enough to cover them by a few inches.
When we remodeled a few years ago I asked if she wanted another one and I was going to build a deck and install it, but she said she'd rather have a freestanding soaking tub.
They're a novelty and if you actually use it often they're great but it wears off after a while. In the townhouse she would mainly just take a bath and not use the jets.

Had one in my last house. Did not use it. Built a house without one.

I removed the one that was in my house when I renovated my Master Bathroom. We built a large walk-in shower in its place. No regrets. We have two other bathrooms with tubs.

We decided to go all out for the shower rather than the tub. Got a deep clawfoot tub that looks nice. I'm never moving so it will be my kids problem on resale.

There's an "industry" for bath tub sales?

Our house came with one. Rarely gets used. So whenever you do run it the water in those lines that first blasts out is nasty. It also makes your bath colder faster because it is churning constantly.
It is nice to have for the occasional tweaked back, but the relief I get from it or just a regular hot bath is nominal.
Also your tub has 6 holes in it essentially. Ours have never leaked, so I guess the fittings are pretty sound? Don't know if others have horror stories of water trapped under a far corner of a garden tub?

People staying at my house have used it more than I have. I rather have a jacuzzi outside.

Only if you cheap out and don't add the $150 in line heater.

when installing mine, I sprayed the shite out of the plumbing with flex seal, then painted it all in red guard. Then put in a water alarm under the tub. Then encased it in expanding foam to cut back on the noise. I researched and got the ones that had "quick drain" and the hoses run above the jets so that the lines do not retain water.

Sitting in your own filth is not appealing to me.

Most people just use them to put their ferns in the winter time...
