I think it was easier to accomplish back then because everybody in that group probably knew each other for forever.

Today people move off, and those close groups aren't as easy to maintain. Up until our mid 20's a group of us guys would spend at least a few nights a month by a pond, fire going, tail gates down, and shoot the crap till 4 or 5 in the morning. Once we all started getting married and moving off it stopped.

Today, most of these guys I know, I have no desire to do that with, I am not as close to them as those friendships that were forged over 15 - 20 yrs when we were all in Beebe.
