Taylor of Old Bond, Sandlewood. Not sure about the safety razor, got it at an antique store. Use Gillette Silver Blue DE razors

Yes. I use it to fix any minor cuts from shaving. Stops the bleeding immediately.

I've heard that hit also helps with razor burn because of its antiseptic and antibacterial qualities. Any experience with this?

Love my alum block. Absolutely helps with razor burn and cuts. Also use some Tend Skin.

I've used it after shaving and while it does help with bleeding, I still get razor burn.

About to snag a Merkur 34C and some Taylor of Old Bond Sandalwood.

Heard the Sandalwood is the GOAT.

I've been using Art of Shaving preshave oil. I'm rocking the beard right now, so I'm only shaving my neck. But I have noticed the difference since using shave oil.

I've noticed little to no razor burn. Not that the oil has some razor burn healing properties, but because its lubing up the skin to make it less susceptible to razor burn.

I really like the TOBS St. James shaving cream. I'm sure the sandalwood works just as well.

The last few days I ran out of Edge shaving cream and have been using Head and Shoulders shampoo as an emergency replacement with my Gillette Fusion in the shower and it isn't too bad. Just a heads up in case you guys run out of the fancy stuff.

I have the Sandalwood and a few others - TOBS is all great stuff. Gentleman Jon 3.5 Ounce Alum Block is great. I like various mugs and I recommend a Georgetown Pottery G12 Shaving Scuttle Mug.

TOBS is the good style of scent in sandalwood. It smells like Art of shaving. But AOS is more expensive and no better.

Proraso red is a more earthy scent of sandalwood.

You can do no better than TOBS at that price point. DRHarris is just as good. It's just a matter of preference.

Gotta step your game up to GFTrumpers or Truefitt and Hill or even higher Castle Forbes. Highest I have seen for anyone's amusement. Google Santa Maria Novella.

I still like Proraso Green mixed in a mug. Truest and Trumpers I have heard are really good. It is just amazing how long a tub of cream will last! I am not sure I will get around to trying too many others until I use up some of my collection.

I have been using my Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap a lot this winter.
