The tragedy is the family loses their little girl, the officer gets crucified and has to live with this the rest of his life, the community's hatred for the police intensifies, and the one who gave the orders continues to lead and direct with no consequence.
Well said.

Considering the guy was actually there....and if the grandmother interfered as the story stated....
They were right to drop the charges.
If you strike a gun, both setting it off and moving the aim of the gun, you can't sit there and blame the officer for the ramifications. It is an accident by every definition of the term, and one that the striking individual holds more blame than the officer.

Accident my arse its the officers responsibility to protect his weapon. Andd when you are breaking in to someones house screaming and wielding guns you should expect the people in the house to react accordingly. You dumb frick
The scum cop who killed the girl needs to kill himself.

Her fingerprints were not on the gun.
quote:
Weekley has said that the girl's grandmother, Mertilla Jones, who had also been asleep on the couch when police arrived, came up to him and grabbed his gun, causing him to shoot. According to ABC local afiliate WXYZ, evidence presented in court Thursday showed that neither Jones' fingerprints nor DNA were found on the officer's gun. Weekley's fingerprints and DNA were also not found on the gun.

Then there you go. Officer fricked up
But lawls at the other guy who says that he should have "protected the weapon." What exactly does that mean? Shooting the grandmother or cradling the gun and twisting his back to the assailant?
