She is also concerned about "possible damage to her hand from the attack," her attorney said.

That could really mess up her fingering.

I can see it. Would you want to check something on a plane that is worth several thousand $ if not 100 thousands?

Pay for priority boarding then so you can get on the plane before all the overhead space fills up

She makes her career with her ability to finely manipulate her instrument with her fingers. Her hands being damaged is a particular concern for her.

It's her fault. She knew what she was getting into when she booked United. No symphony given.

Which is fine.

I'm just saying she is likely exaggerating the "attack" and is looking for a Payday because she didn't get her way.

Yeah but a violin isn't nearly as big as a cello. It could fit in the overhead compartment.

Exactly. Her hand doesn't have to be broken to put her out of work. Even a tiny tear in a tendon could put her out of work for months.

Most don't want to even do that. Especially one that was made in the 1600's.

Shes lucky she got her violin back.

In January this year Florida State University graduate student Carrie Miller set up a Go Fund Me page to replace her cello, which she claimed was smashed to pieces on a United Airlines flight, while in June 2016 violinist Yura Lee reported being kicked off a United Airlines flight for attempting to stow her instrumentsafely below seats.

Charlie Daniels would've fricked someone up good if they tried this with him.

Maybe, but I'm just saying that it is understandable for her to be a little "dramatic" and sensitive about possible damage to her hands. It might seem like she is just going out of her way to find fault to you, but it is realistically a very big deal to her.

Hands aren't that sensitive, we use them roughly everyday. So what was she thinking exposing her precious hands so liberally?

On a related note..how pissed would you be if you were bumped from a flight only to see a fricking musical instrument chilling in it's own seat?

Not very much at all if she paid for it. Too bad more fat people don't buy the extra seat. Amiright?
