Crazy how many Taco's Toyota sells. I guess its the only good option for those that want smaller than a 1/2 ton.
Tacoma 2016 Sales 191,631
Tundra 2016 Sales 115,489

1794 tundra crewmax checking in. Could never do a small Tacoma. Buddy at work has one, can't even really fit in the back seat and I am under 6 and under 200lbs

No reason to not go full size with what the midsize trucks cost. I like the idea of a Tacoma, but the comfort is terrible.
Well, there are reasons to get a Tacoma. Like others have said, if you live in the city, its easier to drive and park. My reasons for having one are I do live in the city and I live in a house built in 1929. The parking is behind the house....you go up a narrow drive along side the house, then I make a hard left (12" of clearance from the corner of my house when I turn)....then make a hard right to get in my carport. I can fit a full size truck back there but its a PITA. The other thing about the Taco is my wife will drive it.....like when she woke up to go to work a while back and had a flat tire. She took my truck as I work from home. She will also drive when I have been drinking....if she hasn't been....thats not often though. It does have a small backseat but I have put friends back there for short drives to eat or whatever. They survived. But the interior width is less than my wife's Accord. I'm perfectly comfortable in the drivers seat and I'm 6'1.

That's a point for the Tundra.

Well, she doesn't want to drive it. But it saved me from having to get out of bed and fix a flat.....she goes to work early and.....I don't.

Tundra>Tacoma. Have owned them both. Power, pickup, room and just stance is that of a truck. Tacoma just tells others you could not afford Tundra or have no 'real' use for truck. Price was actually only $2-3k difference after rebate, no brainer

So I guess hauling 40 sacks of crawfish down a road that's too muddy for a full size truck means my Tacoma is just a toy right

You know a bigger truck doesn't add girth or length?
That's a small dick insult, in case you couldn't tell.

I traded a 2010 f250 for a 2015 Tacoma double cab 3 months ago. I'm 6'4" and I have a 3 year old and 1 year old. I love the taco so far. Much better ride and easier to get around. I can also park in parking garages which I could not do with my f250.
As far as car seats, when my daughter was rear facing in the carrier it was tight. I put her seat behind the passenger side and that seat was pretty far forward. My 3 year old is behind the driver's seat and we both seem to have enough room.

Tacomas are sports trucks. If you want ride trails or throw it in mud or otherwise get it sideways on a dirt road...it's way better than a full size.

Owned a Tacoma for 6 years and I now own a Tundra (almost 2 years).
Both are excellent trucks. I actually gave my Tacoma to someone in my family. After being in the Tundra, driving the Tacoma felt small. Granted it was 2008 Tacoma (Tundra is 2016), so it was a huge upgrade.
The Tundra has TONS of extra space. The back seat on the crewmax is the most spacious of any full size.
Gas mileage is the only downfall of the Tundra, otherwise, it's an amazing truck. If money isn't an issue, get the Tundra crewmax.

I feel like I do not necessarily need the Tundra but the extra space would be nice
