I remember six months after Katrina, when manual or unskilled labor was in HIGH demand, when the totesums and McD's and KFC' were offering weekly bonuses just to work, I drove down Canal and there are a bunch of able bodied men, teens to thirties, just chilling and doing nothing at all, looking like bums.

Agreed.
Hispanics are by far the hardest working demographic in this country. I want a secure border but an easier legal path to citizenship needs to be made.

Certain people would be forced to migrate to where the work is and take construction or agricultural jobs instead of staying put and collecting welfare
