I love guys like you who buy into the partisan bullshite. Politicians especially love you.

You show your ignorance if you think I am supportive of either party.

Ever considered that some of us are just more interested in facts, law, and logic than emotional whims created by watching a few groups of people do manual labor?

Couldn't be that though. Has to be raaaaaacism.

Ignorance of how you vote? Context clues.

Ignorance of how shite truly works? I'm dead on.

frick the border, if all these Reds wanted to crack down they don't need to get border briefs everyday. They need to simply summon their black Suburban, ask where the nearest street construction was going down and afterwards, which Taqueria serves the best green sauce. This can all be accomplished from the state capital and a short ride down South Congress.

Come on man.

You supervised the work with a loaded shotgun on your shoulder.

Don't you think that influenced them to work extra hard to some extent?

They also busted up part of my driveway and repoured it. They have worked like mules, and have done an excellent job.

These men could be seen on every rooftop in New Orleans after Katrina. They more or less rebuilt this city. They come here to work, and they work. They don't think anybody owes them anything. Which is more than I can say for vast segments of the native population.

I am pretty right wing, but I would support some sort of effort to give these guys a path to citizenship if they want it, provided we close the border.

Yep, similar experience with the Mexican team that put a new roof on my house. However, from my perspective this belies the fact that these people have violated immigration law and are in fact breaking in line in front of legal immigrants.

But the real issue is the obvious lack of security on our southern border. If Mexicans can so easily sneak into our country then so too could brown skinned terrorists/radical Muslims. All it would take is one nuclear terrorist strike somewhere in the Southwest or really anywhere in the U.S. once they driver's licenses, etc. for our nation to have the reality slap of its life.

The first generation of immigrants are hard working tough MFers. However after a generation or two, it falls to shite.

Look at San Antonio for instance. The 393rd and 4th generations are lazier than hell. Just my observation anyway.

I built an inground swimming pool when we lived in Texas. Every anglo subcontractor over charged me, never showed up when they said they would and did crappy work. The hispanic workers always arrived on time, did exactly what they said they would do and at or below budget. I would prefer to hire hispanic subcontractors everytime.

I also had my roof replaced before we moved. 56 squares on a steep roof. They started at 7am and finished at 7pm. Excellent work.

I also forgot to mention all the diseases they bring in. Let's just say that not all these recent outbreaks are due to the anti-vaccination movement from our granola moms.

How do you know they are Mexican and not Hispanic. I like your post but most people tend to put all Hispanics in the same genre when that is not the case. Mexican=someone for Mexico.

I didn't hire these Mexicans. I hired a local contractor who has done a lot of concrete work for members of my family. His name is Boudreaux, and he is white and he lives on the westbank. He and his nephew came out early, shot the lines and positioned the forms. He then handed the whole thing off to these four dudes who worked until the job was done. I told Boudreaux to tell them to knock on the door if they needed to use the bathroom, but they never did. The only time they knocked on the door was to ask me if I was happy with the job before they left.

Did you ask them why they came here just to get on welfare?

Best concrete crews I ever dealt with were with Brasfield & Gorrie in Atlanta. They self performed and had around 40 full time Hispanics working on two crews day and night. Pour 250 on the 10 th floor of some high rise starting at midnight and be pouring another 250+ slab at 3pm the next day on another site. Guys were machines. The Cortez brothers from Guatamala ran their crews. Jack, Mario and Jorge. Even though I was the sales rep, I spent countless nights climbing ladders and shining flashlights in the drums to check slumps. And just being there to sell the next job with my show of support. Those guys insisted I get every job that B&G did in Atlanta. Only time I didn't was so they could give the impression of fairness in the bid process to my competitors. But I got 90%. Those guys were the hardest workers I have ever seen.
