Slippy, reading your post prompted me to think about all of the hard working people out there who are contributing to the betterment of society.

This led me to think about one of our beloved posters who languishes in ban-land. A guy who has labored hard in thread after thread to bring mirth and merriment to the O-T.

I am, of course, referring to our own Mexican/Texican/Samoan jokester, Owlvis.

I humbly implore the good and gracious admins to show some mercy and lift the ban on Owlvis' posting privileges. If the outpouring of affection for the hard workers mentioned in this thread cannot get Owlvis reinstated, I am not sure what can make it happen. Hell, I thought the Easter idea would have been perfect, but that was not to be.

Please Chicken, et. al., let him back.

In loving memory :nohomo: and with eager anticipation of his return:

Lord knows what he did this time. I'd like to say it was just college hi-jinx gone wild, but I really have no idea.

He used fowl language to Chicken is what I heard....

Iona, you are a good soul. I too have a soft spot for the Messican creature but am not nearly as articulate or passionate as are you.

Please Chicken, Owlie didn't mean no harm, he was only joking, brother.

These men could be seen on every rooftop in New Orleans after Katrina. They more or less rebuilt this city. They come here to work, and they work

Wrong.

Most of the hard dedicated workers here after Katrina were Honduran and Guatemalan. Most case from central and South America.

Witness: Well, like most Bolivians, I don't like either one.

A lot of Brazilians helped rebuild NOLA too, definitely a large influx of Central and South Americans.

I live in AZ now, and I have come to have the utmost respect and affinity for Mexican culture. It is amazing how hard these people work. They only want a better life for their families, and I think something needs to be done to ensure their kids have a path to citizenship.

If you think that people from Mexico and Central America have this strong willpower or magical trait to resist the narcotic of American welfare that has eviscerated the work ethic of whites and blacks, then you are crazy.

This needs to be repeated.

Some of you can't see past your patios.

Yeah we need MORE people on welfare. I live near a ton of Latin Americans in San Francisco. They're largely fat, loud, and dirty. I walk by shattered beer/liquor bottles everyday, which is accompanied by the smell of fresh urine on the sidewalk or the corner of their apartment building. Many of them are also welfare queens and gang members. They're also terrible drivers and are the reason your health insurance is so expensive.

It is hard to observe hard-working immigrants and not be impressed and have an affinity and respect for them. That said, every country has the right to enforce it's border laws as it sees fit.

Send a telegram to Rick Perry, Cruz or any other douche you'll vote for. Thing is, closing the borders and welfare gets your blood pumping.

Reality? Both if these Texan televangelists ignore how, literally, their wonderful Texas road/bridge and infrastructure is maintained, built, and used as a constant stump bullet on how well they do to take care of this state and it's "citizens".

I love guys like you who buy into the partisan bullshite. Politicians especially love you.
