It depends on what I am trying to do and I never do it for a long period of time.

Go with a spouse/SO/friend and hold each other accountable for missing.
Get a plan together.
Learn to look at yourself in the mirror with disgust.

It really is the best approach.

What are you?
age?
Relationship status?
Children status?
Helps me grasp the notion of you better.
Sometimes you gotta look in the mirror and reject what you see. Be what you are not. Don't be the no triceps father because that is humiliating to your children. They see other daddies and envy them.

I need some tips to get my arse up and going everyday. I also struggle with consistently eating healthy...tips for that would also be appreciated
See, these go hand in hand for me (but opposite). My motivation to get off my arse everyday, is so that I can eat whatever the hell I want. I try to eat healthy, but it's nice to grab that donut and not feel guilty about it. I ran 7 miles last night, I can eat what I want today. That's my motivation.

Can you afford a personal trainer?

20's
Single
None
I am a part of a CrossFit gym I just don't ever get off my arse to go.
I want to workout in the morning and I set my alarm for 5:45 to workout at the 7 am class but I always end up going back to sleep

Although this isn't my sole motivation, its a big part of it. I also eat majority clean and healthy meals, especially because I am trying to lean out. But hell if I burned 800 calories running this morning and I want a few chips ahoy cookies, im eating the damn chips ahoy!
Also most importantly, set goals for yourself whether it be weight loss, physique, endurance. Something challenging but achievable so you can hold yourself accountable.

If you workout everyday you can drink whenever you want like a man. Including St Patrick's day

Why are you paying so much for Crossfit and not going?

I was fat until HS. I hit a growth spurt and never looked back. The fear of devolving back to a self-conscious fat junior high me has always been more than enough motivation to stay in shape.
Sometimes a little bullying brings out the best
If that isnt relatable, maybe pretend it will get you laid or something

Because I'm a dumbass, I'm starting tomorrow at 7 I basically have 3 months to get back in shape for summer

Pay someone to constantly mock you for being a lazy fat arse.

Do Crossfit if you can afford it.
Or go online to Bodybuilding.com, find a plan, find a gym, and go.

Honestly the trick is just simply forcing yourself to go the first 2-3 weeks needed to form a habit. You will get a lot of momentum between just sheer guilt of not going and actually seeing results

Find a workout regiment that you actually enjoy. If you dread going to the gym, you'll never go.
